My heart danced a littu when I found the Swahili translation of Ngugi's Devil on the Cross in my parents little library which is a delightful addition to my 3 new Swahili books I bought during the NIBF in September in an attempt to improve my Swahili ☺️

21 only 😩. And that's inclusive of my current read.

Never witnessed firsthand the PEV in our county and this book is the closest to it I have experienced. Second was "The Havoc of Choice" and the scattered stories I heard from people,on TV or in the dailies. Such a beautifully penned book. Highly recommended, a solid 10/10 !

Now that I am on holiday, I began a challenge to read a book a day. This was today's pick. I started reading this book 10 minutes to noon today and here it lies, done and dusted, 34 minutes to midnight! Let's see how many books I'm gonna read between now and January 2025 😅
