In most auctions the winning bid is public by design. the losing bids are what leak and they carry strategy: how a bidder values an asset, how much risk it will take and what else it may be chasing.

A reserve claim is only as good as the evidence behind it. so how do you check a number you cannot see?
THE HARD PART OF RESERVES
Onchain holdings are easy to verify because the ledger is public. the hard half is off-chain: assets and hedge positions that sit in exchange accounts, behind logins no one can inspect from outside.
That gap is where trust has traditionally lived. A PDF, a screenshot, a statement.
WHAT @primus_labs DOES DIFFERENTLY

HOW THE USDu SETUP IS DESCRIBED
According to Brevis's description of the Unitas build, the pieces fit together like this:
- Primus zkTLS authenticates data from centralized exchange accounts
- A TEE protects the sensitive balances
- Brevis's Pico zkVM computes a provable reserve total from those private inputs
- A public dashboard shows reserve totals, supply, backing ratio and collateral split
Both legs of the reserve stack are covered: onchain yield and liquidity positions and the exchange hedge leg, such as short perpetual positions.
The design goal is a single checkable number without exposing the private balances behind it.
WHAT A PROOF DOES NOT TELL YOU
Being precise matters more than being impressive here.
- Provenance is not completeness. a proof can show an account's balance is real. It cannot show that no other account exists.
- A proof is a moment in time. Reserves can move after it is generated.
- Reserves are one side of the sheet. Backing only means something next to liabilities and supply.
- The TEE and zkVM layers add their own trust assumptions.
QUESTIONS WORTH ASKING
1. What refresh cadence should a user demand before calling reserves "real-time"?
2. How should completeness of accounts be shown, not just correctness of balances?
3. Should issuers publish the verification path so anyone can rerun the check?
My view: this is a meaningful step from "trust our statement" to "check our evidence." The next step is making the limits as visible as the number.

What if your NFT could keep a secret?
One of the biggest limitations of NFTs is that almost everything about them is public. Their traits, stats, rarity and other attributes can be viewed or scraped by anyone, sometimes even before a collection is fully revealed.
@FungoLabs is taking a different approach.
By using Zama's FHEVM technology on Ethereum, Fungo is building encrypted NFTs that allow information to remain private while still existing on-chain.
Here's what makes it interesting:
1. Encrypted from the start
NFT traits and stats are encrypted on-chain, not stored secretly on some private server. Smart contracts can even process encrypted information without actually seeing what's inside.
2. Fair and random minting
Nobody gets to choose what you receive at mint, not even the Fungo team. Each NFT gets two randomly generated 64-bit values: a look and an essence, using Zama's on-chain FHE randomness.
3. You control what gets revealed
Every NFT starts sealed. You can privately view what's inside and decide whether to reveal your artwork and traits publicly. That decision belongs to the holder.
4. Hidden stats that still work
This is where things get even more interesting. FHE allows smart contracts to compare encrypted information and settle things like game duels without either player revealing their stats.
Think about that for a moment.
You can own an NFT, keep its traits private, and still use those hidden traits in on-chain games.
