πŸŽƒ Halloween wasn't the scariest part of 31 October… I attended the BANT Men's Health Conference on that day, and what I heard was genuinely concerning.

It’s been a while since we posted about the pool. Apparently, ADACT has just been quietly getting on with the job. πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ 412k β‚³ delegated. 2 blocks in Epoch 658. At this level of delegation, two blocks in a single epoch is a rather nice sight. No hype. No promises. Just infrastructure running, blocks being minted, and 95 delegators who have stayed with us. To those delegators: thank you. We’re still here. Still building. Still minting. πŸ’š 985 blocks and counting. #Cardano #ADA #CardanoCommunity #StakePool #OnOurWayTo1000

Weiss has stepped up its game lately. Midnight will be bigger than ZCash: selective disclosure, Private Agents, Abstraction with a DeFi Kernel for all major chains, ZK + TEE + MPC, and Cardano's 24/7 uptime combined with the magic of Leios. LFG 2027
midnight-3:native has a good chance of becoming one of the best plays of the next 24 months.

Honestly, feeling super bullish on Cardano $ADA. The amount of work going on behind the scenes is admirable. While some projects leave, there are also many new ones building, which is optimistic. There are three of the most exciting developments from my perspective in the near future for Cardano: 1/ Ouroboros Leios, which will dramatically increase Cardano's throughput and make the network much more capable of handling high demand. 2/ AlphaGrowth's Cardano PRIME program, which aims to strengthen Cardano's DeFi ecosystem and make it more competitive. 3/ Midnight, which will open the door for Cardano stake pool operators to become Midnight validators and create an additional source of rewards for their delegators. There's a lot to look forward to. ⚑️

My role at the Midnight Foundation ends this month. The department I sat in will be wound down by end of month. I've been operating in the shadows, making sure you see a block every 6 seconds. For the past several months I've been full-time on protocol operations. Not my team, not my title. But an open source protocol is not just developers. It is the operators, and the network of nodes expressing that technology correctly, block after block. Someone had to hold that. So I did. Throughout our Testnet milestones I grew our operator community to ~200 SPOs. We've done incredible things together including that one time we were migrating to Testnet-02 env but I had to open up my laptop on the hackathon floor and figure out we had a genesis param mismatch which required a hot fix. But you know what? I loved it. I like unexpected, the fringe end of uncertainty, and reeling chaos. Midnight has been live only a few months and going to novel and new evolutions for the forceable future. I'm glad to have been apart of realizing this network's existence. Thirteen node operators through mainnet go-live. Eleven operator companies, roughly 50 nodes, three environments. Midnight has stayed live. Before that, I founded the Midnight developer community and created our Discord. I led the first alpha cohorts, around 700 developers back on devnet-0. Some of those people are Midnight ambassadors now. Some have won hackathons. Some started their career in crypto or engineering in that cohort. That is the part I am proudest of, and it isn't close. I got into this industry to fix systems. I don't agree with the qualified order of value. When I first heard about Midnight, honestly, it sounded cool. Then I actually sat with the vision and liked it: selective disclosure, the ability to choose how much of yourself you reveal. There are real commercial reasons that matters. But at heart, privacy is what freedom requires. This ending was devastating and unexpected. Thank you to the community for the support and the inspiration, and to the partners I onboarded and worked beside to get Midnight live and keep it there. Now I'm looking for my next role. My portfolio is below with far more detail. If you think I'd fit your team, or you know someone I should be talking to, please reach out. stevanlohja.github.io/stevan… And a repost does more than you think. #MidnightNetwork #Midnight #Cardano

ADACT just went 7 epochs (~35 days) without minting a block. Here's the maths of why that's completely normal in small independent #Cardano Pool Land, and the silent killer nobody warns small SPOs about. 🧡

7/So the discipline for small SPOs: know your expected rate cold, and every drought verify the boring stuff: pledge, VRF hash, op-cert counter, KES validity. If those all pass, the maths says: relax. It's variance, not you.

8/Being a small independent pool means living inside the variance. Big pools smooth it out with volume; we ride every bump. But every block we DO mint is 100% ours. Decentralisation isn't free, it's a bunch of us holding the line at sigma 0.003%. 🫑 #CardanoSPO

The @realfi_co Testnet is officially live – Phase 1 starts now. If you've been following what we're building – a stablecoin ecosystem designed to connect on-chain capital to real-world credit markets, not circular incentives – this is your first chance to get hands-on with the protocol. Phase 1 opens three actions in the test environment: πŸ”„ Swap: Between supported test digital assets and test USDr. πŸ“₯ Stake: Stake test USDr for test sUSDr, its efficiency layer. πŸ“€ Unstake: Move back to test USDr. This isn't just a demo. It's a deliberate part of how we build. Most stablecoins leave capital sitting still. RealFi is built to change that by bringing real-world economic exposure on-chain with the speed and security of modern blockchain infrastructure. More details on the participation and rewards structure will follow through official RealFi channels. Get started πŸ‘‡ preprod.realfi.co/?utm_sourc… We're excited to have you testing with us. ADACT soon on LEIOS πŸ”₯
Reminiscing about Cardano. Back in the Shelley days, setting up the CCV stake pools was so exciting. We literally grew this ecosystem together. I know it feels rough out there in crypto these days, but it's not over, and it's not over for Cardano. There have been upgrades since the Shelley days, but maybe none as monumental as what is happening right now. Cardano just opened the Musashi Dojo, which is the public testnet for Ouroboros Leios, the largest throughput upgrade since that Shelley era. This IS NOT a layer 2 or a sidechain. It's a change to the consensus layer itself. Leios runs as an overlay on top of Praos rather than replacing it. Think of this like a capacity increase on a highway, Leios adds lanes...it doesn't just raise the speed limit. It adds a second block type that runs alongside the existing Praos blocks. Leios targets 100–1,000+ TPS (potentially 10x–65x improvement), while preserving Praos’s core security and decentralization properties. Same security model that's held strong since Shelley, with a realistic path to a projected 5–20x throughput increase at mainnet. It runs in five phases: Validation, parameter tuning, real load, adversarial stress, and mainnet prep. If you run a pool, this is the phase to get involved! πŸ‘‰ leios.cardano-scaling.org/jo… #ad

Are you ready to Bank the Unbanked?
Big news: the RealFi Phase 1 Testnet goes live on 6 July. πŸš€ This is our first public step toward next-generation stablecoin infrastructure on Cardano – and a direct response to a problem we've been vocal about: Crypto's clearest success story has scaled as money. But not as capital. Hundreds of billions of dollars sit idle in stablecoins: No utility. No impact on the real economy. We think that's a problem worth solving – and the Testnet is where we start. During Phase 1, participants can explore the platform, use its core features, and share feedback that will directly shape the protocol. This is collaborative infrastructure-building in public, and we want you involved. Read all about it, here πŸ‘‡ realfi.co/blog/introducing-t…
