Today marks my 2nd divorce anniversary, and strangely enough, my heart is filled with gratitude.
I’m thankful for the life I have today, for the peace I’ve found, the lessons I’ve learned, the strength I never knew I had, and the little things that make life beautiful again.
Lastly, I’m thankful I still get to see my children whenever I want to. I’m thankful to have a good relationship with my ex-husband. I’m thankful to get to coparent peacefully, there were days that he tested my patient, but I’m thankful that I’m knowledgable enough to dismiss it.
It feels good to be able to take back my power and to be confident in my own skin. It feels good to finally realise how much love I can give and to recognise that not everyone deserves it.
