Super excited about this one!,
Excited to announce @MaCVentureCap has co-led the $20M seed round of @rdvrobotics alongside @Toyota_Ventures, with participation from a strong syndicate of existing and new investors that include the @UMich endowment, @AsteraVentures, @IndustriousVC, @Aurelia_Foundry, @ATXVenture, and @Mana_Ventures. Rendezvous is a company building spacecraft structures that assemble themselves in orbit. Thanks @payloadspace for covering the story.

🇺🇸👏🏾
Grateful for everyone who came out to @FlybyRobotics LA Tech Week Factory Field Day event.
It’s joyful for me that people get to experience our custom Gemma 2 running entirely on board for the first time.
Thank you for everyone who came out. It’s time to build in America
Bummed to miss this in person but glad to read some of the lessons learned from one of @MaCVentureCap best CEOs @AlexKFine of @fun 🔥👏🏾🍔
Terrific!
Really really cool that NYC Public Schools have chosen Aku for their fall book club!! @AkuDreams @randomhousekids
Suits and ties at Moses Lake!🚀
Thanks to @NASAAdmin Jared Isaacman and his team for visiting our Moses Lake Test Site recently! Great to show off hot fires of both our Andromeda and Zenith engines as they complete their qualification campaigns.

If you give @NASAAdmin an engine, he's going to climb in it. This is a new @NASA under @rookisaacman, and I'm here for it! 🇺🇸

Great work @tybernstein @zeno_power!! 🌗🚀
We're bringing nuclear power to the Moon in 2028.
Today, @Zeno_Power announced an agreement with @Firefly_Space to fly our Americium-241 Radioisotope Heater Unit (RHU) and Survive-the-Night Package on an upcoming Blue Ghost mission, in support of @NASAMoonBase.
The race back to the Moon is a race to stay, and staying means surviving the two-week lunar night when temperatures fall below -280°F. Today, America is behind.
Since 2019, China's Chang'e 4 mission has survived repeated lunar nights using radioisotope technology to stay alive. Recent U.S. lunar missions, relying on solar power and batteries, have not survived.
That's about to change.
After Blue Ghost completes its lunar-day operations, our RHU will provide continuous heat to keep the Survive-the-Night Package running through the dark as it transmits operational data back to Earth.
NASA's demand signal for this was explicit: it specifically incentivized this mission to demonstrate surviving the lunar night with radioisotope technology by 2028. With Firefly, we're answering that call.
Permanence is a power problem. @NASAMoonBase – and the dozens of missions in the coming years that will build toward a permanent lunar presence – will require nuclear at a scale that doesn't exist today. At Zeno, we're ready to meet that demand.
Ad Lunam Per Nuclear!

This is the right framing. @Rkt_Da and I wouldn't have gone through with @stoke_space if we couldn't turn the re-entry problem into an engineering challenge instead of a science problem. That's all we did for the first year. imo it's an important qualifier for any company raising venture capital.
Several comments asking me about Stoke Space
What they are doing (regeneratively-cooled metallic heat shield using LH2) is pretty neat and has promise.
I talk sometimes about how what SpaceX did with Falcon 9 was more of an "engineering problem" (taking proven mid-TRL technology and making it work on a real system) than the issues with Starship's heat shield that I see as more of a "physics problem" (depending on your definition of "rapid" reuse).
Engineering problems can be solved with iterative design and brute force. Physics problems need true advances in science and technology.
All that to say, IMO what Stoke is trying to solve is an engineering problem. With the right people, enough money, and enough time, I think it will work. Anytime your design relies this heavily on hydrogen you're inviting some (incredibly small) demons to the party, but alas, not my problem.
I'd love more details on their ground testing at "higher heat loads" than what is experienced in flight. But last I heard they're targeting a launch test late this year? Looking forward to finding out...

On-ramps will be killed within the next year.
They will be replaced by unified deposit solutions.
This is already happening.
Polymarket now does 8x more fiat payments with unified deposits than they did via on-ramp aggregation.
Both parties have taken a pass on education in recent years but the democrats are particularly infuriating because they embolden the special interests that push against reform accountability and results. The only real way to interrupt the cycle of poverty in poor communities is with a great education. To his credit @RahmEmanuel has spoken the loudest for change in k-12 education. We will see if the other democratic presidential candidates follow his lead or continue to be obstacles of sorely needed change
government destroys value.
in this case, the value of an American education was destroyed in ~40 years.
if there’s no marketplace for customers (parents of students) to demand value (quality of education for price paid) by simply going to another service provider (school or educator), it is inevitable that costs will go up and quality will go down.
this is true of any service provided by government, which effectively grants itself a monopoly, deleting the opportunity for other service providers to compete in offering better value to customers/citizens…
Great work team @zeno_power!🔥🚀

Introducing Onairos.
Today, companies steal your data every second, lock it up, and use it to line their pockets.
But at what cost?
The cost is you.
Your data is used to power algorithms that hijack your mind with social media, doomscrolling, rage, and endless consumption.
Don’t forget amazing DC Government leader in schools, parks and recreation. D. C residents benefited tremendously and will forever be grateful for @Ximenatech ‘s work on behalf of kids and families
Countries that win put builders in charge. Amazingly proud of CTA leader @Ximenatech . From DC startup founder to Chile’s new Minister of Science, Technology & Innovation. Huge moment for Chile—and the global tech ecosystem 🇨🇱🚀
Agreed @alexisohanian 🚀
You can, in fact, just do things. @stoke_space [776] will likely end up being one of my best seed investments ever. This team is special.
