Around 200 police officers from 7 forces were pulled off normal duties, including 999 response, to deal with Sunday night's protest in Gosport, Hampshire's police commissioner has warned.
Donna Jones says each operation costs her force at least £150,000 and leaves victims elsewhere more vulnerable. In a letter to the Home Secretary, she called it "unsustainable" and said the government should not be relying on the RNLI, a volunteer charity, to police Britain's southern sea border.
The boat that landed in Gosport launched from near Utah Beach in Normandy, the third crossing from that area in a month.
Labour keeps landing boats in towns that do not want them, then blames the people who protest. Every 999 call that went unanswered on Sunday is on the Home Secretary.

Shabana Mahmood says everyone in Patriot Platform would kill her in a minute if they could. No evidence. Just the line.
She is not the victim. Wayne Broadhurst is. Rhiannon Whyte is. Gheorghe Trica is. So are the teenage girls already buried, and the girls handed to Muslim grooming gangs while the authorities looked away. The UK Home Office gives a leaflet to illegal migrants that tells them to “not r*pe women”.
The UK Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood just admitted “nearly all” women arriving on the small boats have been r*ped.
And what little evidence we have been able to collect from the British state through Freedom of Information requests suggests that the nationalities most common on the small boats — Afghans, Eritreans— are far more likely than everybody else to r*pe and sexually assault women.
At some point the British Left and woke feminists have to accept their worldview is collapsing.
Their cognitive dissonance is literally harming British women and girls. We need to stop the boats, fix our borders, deport illegals and put British women first.
