βXβ/Twitter is now simply a rage machine. Yeah I know thereβs plenty to be enraged about, regardless of which side of the fence youβre on, but scrolling through it for even only 30secs is exhausting. Take a rain check & do something else!
Of course these inconvenient truths are irrelevant compared with the random coincidence that Rooney & Rushdie share the same initials. This is all thatβs needed to create a glorious βlet that sink inβ opportunity.
The disdain with which McCarthyism has long been regarded in the US & the rest of the world, will be as nothing compared to the retrospective horror with which Trumpβs era is viewed.
Oh dear. The great Wirral-born director Alex Cox of βRepo Manβ and Moviedrome fame shares his name with a 21-yr-old Reform Party enthusiast. Thatβs gotta hurt
Who, on minimum wage, is spending Β£300 per month on food?
If youβre on minimum wage, you canβt be buying M&S ready meals, you have to be prepared to cook from scratch with ingredients purchased in Aldi/Lidl.
Frozen veg, pasta, rice, eggs, tinned food, etc, almost no snacking food, every meal planned out.
You canβt complain and the price of things and then demonstrate youβre actually complaining about your inability of getting value for your money.

Of course, if thatβs what she wanted, Rooney could have donated money privately to a terrorist organisation for them to piss up the wall & have a good laugh about a sucker being born every minute. But no, it had to be turned into a pr opportunity & an act of self-martyrdom.
If you ever sought out the novels of Sally Rooney in bookshops β when that was still possible β youβd know they sit in the fiction stacks adjacent to the novels of another SR whose books have been withdrawn in dastardly political circumstances. Until last week, βRooneyβ and βRushdieβ had little in common beyond being shelfmates; now they have more than just a physical proximity.

The word βcouldβ is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. There are already numerous violations - from fare-dodging to consuming alcohol to feet on seats - which are not called out. Thereβs no reason to supppse this one will be any different.

Thereβs rarely been a clearer demonstration of being asked an interview question youβre completely stumped by & having to wait patiently for waffle mode to download.
Has anyone ever thought, βI wish there were more viral immersive gift shops around.β Itβs the kind of hellish dystopian concept that now seems to be becoming commonplace.
Last week, HMV said it was being forced out of its Oxford Street store after its rent was doubled.
@AndrewKersley found out the landlords behind it are a billionaire Chinese mahjong dynasty, who plan to replace HMV with a viral immersive gift shop.

Manchester City should be relegated to English League Two immediately and stripped of every trophy they have won.
Football must stand for fairness, accountability, and integrity. No club, regardless of its wealth or influence, should be considered bigger than the rules of the game.
If serious breaches are established, the consequences must be severe.
We believe the authorities must act decisively and send a clear message that nobody is above football itself.
No trip to London used to be complete without a visit to this place - at its old site that is (now a Sports Direct). If you couldnβt find what you were looking for there, you couldnβt find it anywhere.

Six pro-Pals were arrested today for criminal damage after the Battle of Britain memorial was attacked. Wreaths lie broken and smashed at the feet of the monument dedicated to those brave warriors who defended us against the Nazis. Utterly shameful.

I visited this branch recently & the news doesnβt surprise me in the least. It was like tumbleweed in there, with a few members of staff standing around with abs nothing to do. The only reason most people go in there at all is to use the PO. A sad decline from its WHS heyday.
