A federal judge sides with 25 states and the District of Columbia, which had argued that the new Medicaid work requirement rule would force medically frail people to clear unnecessary hurdles to maintain government-funded health insurance coverage. nbcnews.com/health/health-ca…

Democrats win the House? Investigate the Cabinet. Pursue impeachment where warranted. Close the loopholes they’ve enjoyed. Starting with Trump’s impeachment could eat the agenda. His Cabinet needn’t enjoy the catering. Accountability makes results possible. #Midterms #Democrats #HouseDemocrats #Accountability #CongressionalOversight #USPolitics

Correct. Temporary tax cuts (no tax on tips/overtime/etc) were front-loaded while cuts to healthcare were scheduled to phase in after the midterms.
Abdul El-Sayed: “The worst of the Big Ugly Bill hasn’t even hit yet. They knew it would be so disastrous to working people that they didn’t actually make it take effect until after the midterms. In January, Medicaid cuts, ACA subsidy cuts, all of that is gonna get worse. It’s about to be a nuclear bomb that goes off on our healthcare system”

He bought a home in Lake Wales. The transfer isn't official until he leaves office because he didn't want the appearance of impropriety. Just an FYI.

My great Constitutional Law Professor from more than 40yrs ago, @tribelaw, succinctly states the case for all of us to support what the @RuleOfLaw_Proj is doing to save us from the lawlessness of the current criminal administration.
"A constitutional republic cannot long endure when criminal law enforcement puts the politics of revenge ahead of the justice of accountability. The Rule of Law Project is brilliantly designed to combat that lethal perversion of priorities at this historic time of testing. I’m honored to join its Advisory Council." - Laurence H. Tribe (@tribelaw), Carl M. Loeb University Professor, Emeritus, Harvard University.

Police punch Hispanic man already pinned to ground—22 times. Officer had already shot him with taser. "He stiffly hit the ground after being tased, and his head banged on asphalt," said witness. "Cop mounts him and starts beating—later 3 more piled on." Just because man was standing in the road blocking some traffic. Witnesses say he looked like he was having a mental episode—and was not trying to harm anyone. Emergency crews were called and took the man to the hospital. Local police confirmed the incident occurred at 3:15 pm—but released no other details except to say it was "under review." Incident occurred on Auburn Way near 37th Street NE in Auburn, Washington.

We just learned more about Trump’s Venezuela oil deal, and here’s everything you need to know: 1. This deal is structured to hide the identities of people who stand to profit from it. You don’t hide that unless you have a reason to. And the man whose firm Trump just bought a 35% stake in? Alejandro Betancourt, a Venezuelan billionaire who has faced several money-laundering investigations around the world. 2. Don’t expect cheaper gas anytime soon. Experts have been telling us for MONTHS that oil production in Venezuela isn’t going to lower U.S. gas prices anytime soon. Betancourt’s company is able to deliver as much oil in a year as the U.S. uses in a few days. Anyone promising this deal will bring down prices at the pump is selling you lies. 3. If there’s a legal fight over this agreement, it has to go through a Texas court that Trump’s DOJ has repeatedly turned to for favorable rulings. 4. This deal creates a board designed to be shielded from oversight and accountability. Trump’s own Treasury Secretary wasn’t able to give Congress basic answers or audits when he testified about Venezuela just last month. But we should blindly trust them now? So let’s recap: Americans aren’t going to feel relief at the pump. The identity of the people involved is conveniently hidden from us. And legal disputes go to a specific court that disproportionately rules in Trump’s favor. Whatever you think American foreign policy towards Venezuela should be, Congress and the public deserve to know who’s involved and where the money is going. propublica.org/article/trump…
