Such a captivating afternoon workshop at @alpha_founders today.
Students got to practice telling their personal stories to professional storyteller @RobbieCrab and have him rework their narratives on the spot.
Felt like watching a live magic show.
If you're new to using Grok Bot, start by having it interview you using this exact prompt:
"Interview me so you can set up my first two bots. Ask one question at a time and keep it to five questions or fewer: what I do, which tools I use every day, what eats up my week, what I'd never want you to touch, and when I want to hear from you."
In 2 minutes, your bot will propose two custom bots, each with:
• A specific job
• The tools it needs
• A scheduled routine
• A strict "never do" line
And before it builds anything, it walks you through exactly what each one will do on its first run.
That's only step one.
The full guide we wrote takes you from that first setup to a team of bots using connectors, routines, skills, APIs, and bot-to-bot messaging.
Read the full guide here.
This is the only @bot guide you need if you want to go from a beginner to a power user in the shortest amount of time. @nateliason breaks down everything you need to know.
Reading is a core part of the day at Founders School.
Every title is chosen intentionally to build the skills, judgment, and wisdom they need on their way to making $1M before they graduate.
Here are 5 we think every teenager should have on their shelf:
Joe Liemandt on why @alpha_founders exists:
He believes entrepreneurship is a set of skills that can be taught.
Right now, no school out there comprehensively teaches those skills.
So Founders School makes a promise most parents don't believe:
Every student builds a business that earns $1M in profit before they graduate, or their family gets their tuition back.
To get there, students focus on earning their first $100, then $1K, $10K, $100K, and $1M.
A couple of months in, students are already ahead of schedule.
Freshmen are on track to hit $1M in year one.
Kids can do far more than adults expect.
What should school look like if AI can help students learn dramatically faster?
Alpha School principal Joe Liemandt joins a16z's Erik Torenberg and Gagan Biyani of Horowitz Andreessen Academy (HAA) to discuss Alpha's model, where an AI learning engine compresses core academics into two hours a day and students spend the rest on teamwork, entrepreneurship, and other real-world skills.
They explore why high standards make kids happier, how HAA is using motivation and real-world building to redesign college, what parents need to believe before choosing a new kind of school, why Joe expects AI to drive an explosion in entrepreneurship, and why Gagan thinks students should pick what they care about over whichever field seems safest from AI.

After a long day of building businesses, we wanted to have a little fun.
So we set up a guides vs. students escape room challenge.
Let's just say things got very competitive, very fast.

How to get the most possible out of @bot!
I recorded a deep-dive for the @alpha_founders channel explaining how I use it, and exactly what you should set up on yours to get more out of it:

Replying to @joshsuggss
@joshsuggss made $1M+ from X with less than 500 followers. This week he came to Founders School to show our students how.
At 21, he walked New York parks with a microphone, asking strangers about products and selling the videos to brands as ads.
He made about $200K that first summer, then dropped out of Syracuse with 11 classes left.
To find clients, he posted about his offer daily, tagged the brands he wanted to work with, and took calls from their DMs.
That was the start of StreetTalk.
Two years later, the company has hired 100+ people and makes thousands of street interview ads for brands every month.
Here are some of the lessons he shared with the students:
We built an AI judge to score our students' sales pitches out of 100.
The first round was rough.
Some students never named a buyer, and others left out a price or a guarantee.
The second round was much better. You could see the students gaining more confidence.
Then a sales expert came in and pitched against them.
The final scores surprised us all...
0:00 Pitch competition
1:00 How to make an irresistible offer
2:00 How to sell anything: what the AI rewarded
3:00 A sales pro vs the AI judge
6:00 The final scores
Another student has passed the $1k goal.
Today I made $1000 completely from my computer.
Here’s how I did it.
I started out by using Claude, Grokbot, ChatGPT, and all the AI that I had access to to scrape the internet for restaurants that did not have a website. After cold calling about 100 of them, I realized that restaurants were not a good market because some people did not speak English, or there were other issues with budget and finding the manager.
Then I pivoted to working and building my audience, getting more followers, and eventually getting someone to reach out to me about making a website. After about a couple weeks of work, I was finally able to deliver something that the customer was happy with, and I made my first $1,000. Thank you to everyone who helped me along the way.

Jay Yang on charging higher prices:
At 20, Jay Yang (@Jayyanginspires) turned an idea into $25,000 in sales in under 30 days.
So by the time he started building, he already had paying customers.
Here’s how Jay did it, and how you can use the same approach to validate your own ideas:
Ambitious teenagers are the future.
Today I just made my first $1,700 through the internet!
I redesigned a website for a business.
At 14, I never thought I could sell to a complete stranger.
I've always wanted to be an entrepreneur and this is the first step towards that goal.
@nateliason
Our students just finished reading $100M Offers by @AlexHormozi to help them make $1M by the time they graduate.
Here are a couple of takeaways:
3/ Students presented their progress to their parents.
At the end of the week, parents joined us to hear what students have built, what they’ve accomplished, and what they’re working on next.
Students also shared their current grades and how far they’ve progressed through the academic curriculum.
We wrapped up week 6 of Founders School, where 20 students are working toward making $1M by graduation.
Here's everything that happened during the week:
