“The easiest thing for a political leader to do is to appeal to our bigotry and our hatred and xenophobia and prejudice, and point to people who are unlike us and say they’re the ones who are damaging our country," Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., August 5, 2016 on Larry King Now. There was a time when I completely agreed with my brother. Today, I am deeply ashamed of him. Arab and Muslim people alike have made extraordinary contributions to the world across literature, science, mathematics, medicine and countless other fields. To name a few, Omar M. Yaghi won the Wolf Prize in Chemistry in 2018 and the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2025. Ahmed Zewail won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1999, and Naguib Mahfouz won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1988. A person’s race, religion, ethnicity or socioeconomic background does not determine their intellect, creativity or capacity to contribute to humanity. My thoughts are with all those hurt by my brother’s false, cruel and derogatory words. nytimes.com/2026/10/27/us/rf…

Yes. Some public-health messaging was too absolute. Fauci’s “dead end” language in May 2021 was stronger than the evidence justified. Walensky’s “vaccinated people don’t carry the virus” wording was also too categorical. Those statements were made when Alpha-era data showed vaccination dramatically reduced infection and transmission. Then Delta arrived, breakthrough transmission became much more important, and the guidance changed. That deserves criticism. Public-health officials should have said: “Vaccination greatly reduces infection and transmission, but does not eliminate either.” But an overconfident sentence in 2021 does not erase the randomized trials, the hospitalization data, or the mortality gap between vaccinated and unvaccinated people. There is plenty to criticize without turning every mistake into evidence that the entire pandemic response was fraudulent.
Replying to @drterrysimpson
Here is data for you: public health officials lied and said the vaccine would dead end the virus. Fauci said this on Face the Nation. Rochelle Walensky said vaccinated people don't carry the virus or get sick. This is only a small part of the lies and mismanagement during COVID. We should have people like you exposing this. Pushing for truth. Ensuring that this does not happen again. What we have, for the most part, is people covering for what was done.

We are facing a crisis of impunity. That's why we built The Rule of Law Project — to investigate unlawful conduct by federal officials, and work with state and local prosecutors to hold them to account. Watch former DOJ prosecutor Mark Blumberg and human rights leader Brad Adams launch this critical accountability initiative on MSNOW with Nicolle Wallace.

‘Futz’ means “to fool around” or “to behave in a way that is not very serious.” It is thought to have come from a modification of the Yiddish phrase ‘arumfartsn zikh,’ the literal translation of which is “to fart around.” Excuse us.

I’ve asked this before but is there any historical event that is like the Opposite of 9/11. Like something so good that happened that it changed the world forever

Can Grass Be Used to Eradicate Pests? Nematodes, or tiny roundworms, can be a bother for America’s organic farmers because they feed on the roots of plants. ARS researchers in Wenatchee, WA, have found that orchard grass may be an effective treatment to combat these pests. See more at: scientificdiscoveries.ars.us…
