“Silver Springs” was written by Stevie Nicks during the sessions for Fleetwood Mac’s album Rumours. Originally intended for the album, it was ultimately left off due to the time limitations of vinyl records and instead appeared as the B-side to "Go Your Own Way." Despite never being a major hit upon its original release, the song became one of the band's most beloved deep cuts.
Widely interpreted as Stevie Nicks' emotional response to her breakup with Lindsey Buckingham, "Silver Springs" gained legendary status after the band's 1997 live reunion performance for The Dance. During the song's climactic finale, Nicks and Buckingham locked eyes while singing the deeply personal lyrics, creating one of the most unforgettable moments in rock history. The live version earned a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal, and the song was finally released as a single in 1998, reaching the Top 40 in the UK.

Il nodulo al polmone rimosso oggi a Papa Leone XIV era un tumore maligno.
Si trattava di un adenocarcinoma polmonare, come hanno comunicato in serata i medici del Policlinico Gemelli di Roma.
Per rimuovere completamente la massa, i chirurghi hanno asportato l’intero lobo inferiore del polmone destro.
L’intervento, eseguito con tecnica videoassistita, è riuscito e non ci sono state complicanze. Il Pontefice si è svegliato normalmente ed è stato riportato nella sua stanza dopo un breve periodo di osservazione.
La diagnosi è stata confermata durante l’operazione attraverso un esame istologico estemporaneo.
Ora sarà necessario attendere l’esame definitivo del tessuto asportato, che permetterà di stabilire con precisione lo stadio del tumore e se saranno necessarie ulteriori terapie.
Leone XIV aveva annunciato domenica 11 ottobre che durante alcuni controlli era stato individuato un «nodulo circoscritto al polmone», scoperto in una fase molto iniziale.
