🤦♂️ Wow.
🥀 Just when you think they’ve learnt, Labour have today published their so called ‘Energy Independence Bill’ where they commit to legislating to ban all new petroleum exploration and production licenses.’
🙃 Oh and for good measure, are changing the objective of the NSTA to move away from Maximum Economic Recovery…which we need now more than ever…to include ‘net zero and transition considerations’. Cmon!
🤪 These people are utterly delusional! Unhinged. Dangerous and totally oblivious the economic and energy threats this country faces.
Might as well hang a closed for business sign over Aberdeen and the North Sea.
They’ve learnt nothing. We will oppose this. Vote against it. And immediately overturn it when we win the next election.
Another day, another issue. The Elizabeth Line was meant to provide salvation for many from the unreliable service offered by mainline operators. Now it’s rapidly approaching the same level of service as all of the others despite being less than five years old.

The Conservatives have recorded their highest level of support since the general election to come within two points of Labour, YouGov polling for The Times suggests
Almost one in four voters (24%) now say they would back Kemi Badenoch’s party if an election were held tomorrow — up two points in a week
The figure is broadly similar to the 23.7% of voters that supported the party at the last general election, under Rishi Sunak. However, it is a marked improvement over the averages of between 17% and 19% at which the party has been polling for much of this year
67% of Conservative voters from 2024 would now choose the party again, while 13% of the Tories’ support comes from voters who backed the Liberal Democrats at the last election
Significantly, the Tories also appear to be attracting younger voters, potentially drawn by the party’s pledges to cut taxes. Some 17% of voters aged between 18 and 24 now intend to back the party, a higher figure than for the Lib Dems and Reform UK combined

I can honestly say I’ve never a section of railway with so much spent on it have so many faults as the Elizabeth Line/GWR stretch between Paddington and Reading. Nearly every week it’s signal faults, points failure, track issues or overhead cabling damage. The list goes on…

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

Ironic in the Fiscal Devolution Roadmap that “council leaders will receive greater rewards for the actions they take to grow their local economies” yet in RBWM govt has undertaken a £31m smash & grab cut largely based on slashing business rate retention….
Beyond depressing that it’s now been over a quarter of a century since the UK last delivered a balanced budget. The earliest likely date to even get close is now well into the 2030s

One thing to watch for in the Budget - Reeves got a big growth/headroom boost from planning reform. Now glaringly apparent that we won't hit those housing targets, so will the OBR downgrade accordingly?

Wandsworth Council Leader Cllr Robert Morritt has joined neighbouring councils to challenge Labour’s 40% funding cut.
Tens of thousands of residents have backed our fight.
These politically driven cuts threaten local services - our Labour MPs voted for them or didn’t show up.

Hammersmith & Fulham residents will be hit by the largest council tax increase ever next year. Bills are set to increase by 150% or £1500 per year. Yet @HFLabour refuse to join nearby councils to oppose the government’s funding reforms causing this. 👇

The Green Party say that they want to "abolish landlords".
And yet *both* of their Deputy Leaders are, in fact, landlords.
Clearly, they know there's nothing wrong with renting out a property. So why are they trying to impose this rubbish on the rest of us?
