British nuclear-powered submarines are to form the backbone of the deterrence system.
According to Commander of the Royal Navy Gwyn Jenkins, the new nuclear deterrence would extend to JEF units and would not require activation of Article 5 of NATO.
The JEF includes the United Kingdom, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and the Netherlands.

After the Holocaust, the world vowed: “Never Again.”
But today, Russia launches a genocide against Ukrainians, commiting mass executions in the occupied territories of Ukraine, attempting to cover up its crimes, and denying them.
“Never Again” means nothing without accountability. Aggressor must be defeated and punished, not appeased.
