Today we spoke to our 10,000th person in the Redcar Constituency since the election was called.
Thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to talk to us.
So many people desperate for change - now we need to go out and vote for it
And to the team - you’re amazing ❤️🌹🙏
Great to see this string ensemble entertaining passengers at King’s Cross as I head home after a busy week in Westminster.
Love their poppy decoration!

I’ve said since my first day as Defence Secretary that I trust this Chancellor to give us what we need to keep our country safe. Today demonstrates why.
We’re delivering the biggest sustained increase in defence spending since the Cold War. Today the Chancellor not only restated our NATO commitment to spend 3.5% of GDP by 2035, but also to spend 3% by 2030.
The gravest dangers of the 20th century are returning, armed with the technologies of the 21st.
The Conservatives left our armed forces underfunded and hollowed out.
This Labour Chancellor is investing in our defence - a Britain ready to fight and a country worth fighting for. 🇬🇧🌹

Kemi spent most of her response attacking the Tory welfare record.
A reminder that under their watch:
Neets up 250k between 2021 and 2024;
Welfare spending rose twice as fast as in this Parliament;
Millions signed off and written off on sickness and disability benefits.

I had a great conversation with the UK Prime Minister @AndyBurnham, and we are grateful to Britain for its unwavering, strong, and truly leading support. Today, Britain made a strong decision to provide an additional £10 billion in financial support – £7 billion in economic support over the next three years, and another £3 billion in British export support, primarily for the supply of much-needed weapons that will strengthen our protection of lives. This is on top of the annual support Britain already provides to Ukraine.
A truly strong and very timely step – coming right as Russia needs to see and feel that Ukraine will not be left alone to deal with the problems Russia is so eager to escalate. Every step to strengthen Ukraine brings Russia closer to realizing that it must end this war of its own making.
Of course, Andy and I also discussed sanctions policy, and Britain will remain principled on this – setting an example that matters globally.
I am grateful to Britain, to Prime Minister Andy Burnham and his team, and to every person around the world who understands that standing with Ukraine is the right thing to do – that it means being on the right side of history.

Tory leader says country was miserable and paralysed under the Tories
"The Prime Minister was not here for the 2017 Parliament, but many of us were.
"We do not want to go through that again.
"The country was paralysed.
"It was miserable, regardless of which side of the debate you were on.
"Does the Prime Minister really think the country wants to reopen the debate?"

BUDGET 2026: £100 straight into bank accounts for 20 MILLION households this winter! Help with energy bills is coming.
Here’s what’s been announced 📷
📷 £100 energy payments this winter for households in council tax bands A–D, paid directly into bank accounts.
📷 Electricity VAT cut extended to July 2027, cutting £50 off the annual price cap.
20% of business rates going to local mayors from next year. Money raised locally, invested locally. Common sense!
You pay a standing charge on your gas bill even when you don’t use any gas.
Labour has announced plans to scrap it, with Ofgem asked to deliver the change in 2027, or as soon as possible.
Gas network costs will move into the price per unit used.

Nigel Farage has blamed 'staff incompetence' for a less than full turnout at a Reform rally. James O'Brien and @HenryRiley1 react.

Those bankrolling Farage apparently love Britain so much they'd rather be anywhere but Britain.

Our @RNLI volunteers do incredible work, putting themselves at risk to help others. We’re lucky to have them. 📷

Nigel Farage was given at least 10 opportunities to call out blatant racism against Kemi Badenoch today.
Why couldn't he?
This goes far beyond party politics. It's about basic decency.
