📢 Our new study, led by @MariaSolAndres1, examines whether machine learning can identify patients at risk of CTRCD before treatment, with @mmamas1973, @amibanerjee1, and @arjunkg, 9 studies showed promising discrimination, but important gaps remain. #CardioOncology #AI

Great work by Stefano and the team trying to answer a common Q in cardio-oncology!
Great weekend in Vienna at #ESCCardioOnco2026 Enjoyed sharing our @ICOSociety survey findings on 5-FU cardiotoxicity management: practice varies, rechallenge is common and often vasodilator-based, and clearer protocols are needed Grateful for the mentors who make this project possible @Dr_Mike_Fradley @datsunian @arjunkg @UGrewalMD @A_SteinMerlob @md_addison @akyadalam

Really important prostate cancer cardiotoxicity risk calculator for use in the real world. @ReenaDavda @prokarurol @amg120395 - should we have a look?
Cardiovascular prevention in #prostatecancer needs tools that actually fit oncology workflows. We built + externally validated PC-specific risk scores for ASCVD, heart failure, and CVD using variables already available in cancer clinics. Introducing the GUHA-STABELLINI score

#Echo has a vital role to play in #cardiooncology. However it may be underutilised currently. We look at different innovative ways echo can be used in different cardio-oncology populations in our paper. @EchoResPract @BSEcho link.springer.com/article/10…

NHS DOCTOR RAISED A PATIENT SAFETY ALARM IN 2015. TEN YEARS LATER HE IS STILL IN COURT. Dr Chris Day @drcmday is an A&E doctor. He flagged serious patient safety concerns at Woolwich Hospital. Two patients had already died. He did the right thing. So the @NHS did the right thing back. It spent over a million pounds of taxpayer money fighting him through the courts for a decade. The Employment Appeal Tribunal, hearing the final stage of his case in March 2026, ultimately dismissed his appeal and exonerated the trust, even though one of its directors deleted 90,000 emails overnight during a hearing. The court called that "troubling." Then let it go. The trust's chief executive was found to have misled the tribunal about a board meeting that discussed Dr Day's case. Credible witness, said the judge. Only 3% of whistleblowing cases succeed at tribunal. UK law allows employers to make settlements conditional on silence. Revised NHS guidance even permits settlements where the very existence of a deal can be hidden. So the system built a maze. Then charged one doctor over a million pounds to run it. Then blocked every exit. NHS told @wesstreeting it is ashamed of how it treats whistleblowers. Then it paid lawyers to say exactly that, in court, about this specific doctor, right up until March 2026. If you want to understand why NHS staff do not speak up when patients are dying, this case is your answer. Support Dr Day via @CrowdJustice. Follow @keepnhspublic for the wider picture.
