I’m speaking from the heart of an American veteran. When you’ve worn the uniform, raised your right hand, and taken an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States, the American flag means something deeper. I’ve learned that freedom isn’t free. Behind every stripe are sacrifices, behind every star are stories, and behind our freedom are brave men and women who were willing to give their lives for this country. As a veteran, I didn’t serve a political party. I served my country, my fellow Americans, and the principles of freedom that make this nation worth defending. I don’t have to agree with everything happening in America to love America. Patriotism isn’t about pretending our country is perfect. It’s about believing she’s worth protecting, improving, and standing up for. I’ve seen enough to know that what unites us should always be stronger than what divides us. My military service may have ended, but my oath, my love for this country, and my respect for those who served will never fade. I still believe in God, family, faith, freedom, and the American spirit. I’m a veteran. I’m a patriot. And I’ll never apologize for loving the United States of America. May God bless our troops, our veterans, our military families, and the United States of America. If you’re proud to be an American, let that flag fly! 🫵❤️🫡🇺🇸

Maybe you’ve started a prayer lately and couldn’t get past God, please. There was too much to explain. Too much you regretted. Too much you’ve been carrying while telling everyone you’re okay. You can bring all of that to Him. Even the part you’re afraid would make someone stop loving you if they knew. You don’t have to make your pain sound beautiful for God to hear it. Tell Him you’re tired. Tell Him what hurts. Let the tears come if they come. I pray you find a little room to breathe tonight. That someone shows up with kindness. That you begin to believe forgiveness can reach you, too. You are still worth loving, right here, with so much unfinished. Jesus knows your name before you find the words.
