Fascism and Socialism have the same structure of government - centric government economy. Capitalism is the only way we avoid both!

New story: In 2024, sitting inside the U.S. attorney's office in Honolulu, the former CEO of a defense contractor made a stunning confession to two FBI agents. He alleged that was the ringleader of a massive pay-to-play operation, bribing senators with campaign contributions in exchange for government contracts. He said his most important patron was Maine Senator Susan Collins. propublica.org/article/fbi-s…

If I give a recommendation for a bar from a trip I took with friends, there’s a 95% chance I liked the bar because of the company and wouldn’t be able to pick the bar out of a line up

Can rent control fix the housing crisis? No. In fact, it could make things a whole lot worse. Find out more in my latest for @WSJFreeEx

More of this in every state please
Last year, Texas passed SB 840, overriding local control to allow offices, retail & warehouses to become multifamily housing by right. No rezoning. No hearings. No NIMBY veto. Since then, 8,400 apartments have been permitted, roughly 1 in 5 multifamily units statewide.

FINANCIAL GRAVITY: If we divide the S&P 500 by the fed’s balance sheet, the line is basically flat since 2008. The correlation coefficient between central bank quantitative easing and the price of stock indexes is nearly 1. The money printed by the Fed, because of the structure of the Open Market Operations, is plugged directly into the Treasury markets, and from there, flows into equities and derivatives. This has served to primarily enrich the asset owners, financial institutions, and wealthy elites who own the majority of the stock market anyways. The entire rally has been an illusion, financed by the Fed and maintained through QE.
The redpill on this is: America never recovered from 2008 and it's been 18 years of economic stagnation. Everyone wants to make this more complicated than it is, but it's exactly that simple. Dead zombie economy.

How does Socialism work without slavery? Genuine question, if everything is free how do workers get paid?

I used to hate when people on the right would try to convince libertarians by saying at least we aren’t as bad as the democrats ( which was wrong). Now they are going up against socialists and the equation got a whole lot different

Reminder Hitler ran for office as a member of the National Socialist German Workers party. So when these anti semites run as members of the Democratic Socialist Party, don’t be surprised if they follow in the same footsteps

Republicans need to take a step back and realize socialists are popular because they are promising to fix affordability. Either Republicans stop printing money or this country will continue down the socialist path

I would like to see you make a voluntary contribution of 5% of your family’s $200M net worth to the government for important healthcare, childcare, and jobs. Don’t worry, it’s just one-time. Your $10M contribution will provide free childcare for over 1,000 California kids for a year! Once you’ve made your personal contribution to a more just and equitable society, I’ll support all your other asset seizure ideas. But you gotta go first…

If public companies knew to move away from the big HC conglomerates for their healthcare benefits, they could in aggregate save > 50b dollars. A year. Easily. That all goes to the bottom line. Give that a 20 multiple, and that's 1 trillion dollars more in value to the 150m people that own stocks.
