Subterra is just getting started. When we set out to raise our seed round investors wanted “market risk” decreased. The discourse is now quickly changing from an “if the market will materialize” to a “when”.
Thankfully there’s no question for the “who”

"Interview of Russian soldiers captured from the underground pipe in Ukraine." fascinating details from soldiers Ukraine captured in the pipes of the eastern front. Information contrary to many of the myths of Russian service (forced/financial/escape prison), ages, training (lack of), missions, life underground. Three years of war in Gaza, Lebanon, and Yemen have boosted tunnel warfare everywhere, including in peer-to-peer warfare. It goes beyond terrorism, beyond the Middle East, and beyond urban.

Ukraine and Russia are going head-to-head underground, with soldiers from both sides crawling through of miles of Soviet-era gas pipelines to get behind enemy lines. on.wsj.com/4i92yZF

Insane footage of Operation Veles (god of the underworld) in Ukraine. Thousands of miles of pipes offered an underground world Ukraine is mastering/using to escaping the drone death zones to still maneuver/adapt. From underground guides, barricades for underground machine gun battles, tunnel vehicles for logistics/sped surrendering to the rear, toxic gas exposure, infiltration tactics. I've known members of the Khartiia Brigade for years, their innovations for training, robotics, now underground warfare, historic. @wolfejosh @SapperGeologist @traysartech @yadinsoffer @asherdigs youtube.com/watch?v=iGyuC3xH…

What Asher won’t tell you is that he was on the front lines with the Khartiia corps just last week.
They are building machinery in form factors you can’t imagine. Not nuclear subterrenes, not dune sandworms, just the right tools strapped creatively together to win the new subterra battlefield.

Netanyahu talking about weapons that move through the crust of the earth. #1 underground champions (Palmer and Elon) defining future tech at the Pentagon.
Trump pushing daily for hard and deeply buried target defeat options.
Anyone still doubting subterra as a category?
Netanyahu:
I invited Palmer Luckey here.
Palmer Luckey heads a company called Anduril, which I believe is the leading weapons manufacturing company in the United States.
He talks about the possibility of underground penetration.
He talks about unmanned systems underground.
Not systems that you launch into the ground, but systems that actually move through the ground.

It’s so dope that this list includes so many underground companies.
Austin has become the capital for underground tech.
Today, we are excited to announce the first annual Austin Deep Tech 50.
Austin has become the hub for some of America's best deep tech founders, so we brought together 8 VC firms with a local presence — @overmatchvc, @valor, @8vc, Banner VC, @BCapitalGroup, @TheAmbitionCap, @ensemblevc, and Trust Ventures — to vote on the 50 startups making the biggest impact.
Together they've raised $10B+ in the last 12 months.

Austin just put out its first Deep Tech 50. Eight local VC firms voted, and the companies on it raised more than $10B in the past year.
Proud to back five of them: @allencontrol ,1AU Technologies, @traysartech , @warheadco Bravo Ordnance, and Deterrence.
Counter-drone turrets, photonics, underground breaching, warheads, and munitions automation. Austin builds the hard stuff now.
Congrats to all 50.

The two people tasked with coming up for future of warfare strategy: one ownes a boring company and the other has been the biggest advocate in history since the soviets for the nuclear subterrene. What do you think is going to happen?

Our investors who got the call from me this past week knew this was coming.
Between CENTCOM to SOCOM to our other classified briefings there is a Project Manhattan feel to Subterra recently.
The urgency is bursting through across the commands and all the way up to DC

This is a genuine part of the trailer for the "Army of Robots" by Fedorov, Ukraine's previous Minister of Defence.
We’re launching the Army of Robots.
In 2022, we launched the Army of Drones. Today, drones account for over 95% of battlefield strikes, and Ukraine has more than 700 UAV manufacturers.
Now we need the next technological breakthrough: the robotization of warfare.
The goal is simple — save lives. Robots should take on the most dangerous missions: evacuating the wounded, delivering ammunition, mining and demining, reconnaissance, defending positions and engaging targets.
The Army of Robots is not one company. It’s an ecosystem. We will invest in defense tech companies, launch our own technology projects, test them with the military and scale what works on the battlefield.
We’re now looking for defense tech companies and engineers working on robotic technologies — as well as a CTO / Tech Lead for the Army of Robots.
