The two-person cockpit rule, protects against an incapacitated pilot, but it cannot by itself stop a threat from someone already inside.
The real safeguards must be preventive: regular psychological evaluations, confidential peer-support programmes, and early reporting of concerns about a crew member's fitness to fly.
Regulators and airlines should also review cockpit door protocols and train crew to respond when the threat comes from within.
Shared my perspectives on the same.
Delhi: On Cockpit security, Aviation expert Arvind Singhatiya says, "Under existing flight security protocols, there should always be two individuals inside the cockpit. If one pilot steps out, a crew member remains inside. However, in the kind of situation we are discussing, where a threat arises from within the cockpit itself, it presents a very difficult challenge. This is an issue that now requires serious consideration. In this case, the pilot displayed exceptional courage, risking his own life and taking decisive action by opening the cockpit door..."
Absolutely not going to happen! I see it quite differently. AI is more likely to strengthen the legal profession than wipe it out. It can make research, documentation and case preparation far more efficient, but the practice of law goes well beyond these tasks.
Interpreting the law, assessing evidence, understanding human circumstances and exercising independent judgement require experience, reasoning and accountability. These cannot simply be automated.
AI will be a powerful aid to lawyers, but human judgement will remain at the heart of the profession. I believe it will significantly raise the quality and professionalism of legal practice.

Dynamic pricing is a common commercial practice across the world, and is by no means limited to the aviation industry. It is prevalent across sectors where demand fluctuates and supply is constrained.
Anyone who has booked a bus or train ticket during Diwali, Chhath, other festive seasons or long weekends, or taken a cab during rush hour, knows how prices rise when demand increases and ease when demand falls. The same principle applies to flights, hotels and several other services.
Airlines operate with finite aircraft, crew and seat capacity and cannot expand operations overnight to meet temporary festive demand. With volatile fuel prices, geopolitical disruptions and rising operating costs adding to the pressure, higher fares do not automatically amount to exploitation.
How many more such horrific accidents before people realise that reckless driving is not just putting their own lives at risk, but everyone else’s too?
In this incident on Gurgaon’s Golf Course Road, one speeding SUV lost control and sent multiple cars crashing, leaving a trail of destruction. People who were simply going about their day had to pay the price for someone else’s recklessness.
Driving is a responsibility. It means making sure you reach home safely, the people travelling with you reach home safely, and everyone sharing the road with you gets home too.
Strict enforcement and harsher punishment are absolutely necessary. But no punishment can bring back a life lost or undo the trauma of a family shattered. The responsibility begins with each one of us behind the wheel. When will we start treating it that way?
Absolutely insane!
Revolver for a small incident on Road 🚨
Someone gets into a minor road dispute and thinks it's okay to pull out a gun and threaten another person's life? What kind of lawlessness is this? The audacity to do this in public is deeply disturbing. Such people must face strict legal action. There has to be accountability, not just outrage after the incident.
Is there no fear of the law anymore?

The law must apply equally to everyone, regardless of position or privilege.
A judicial officer’s position cannot, in itself, become a ground for protection from arrest. Any relief must be assessed on established legal principles and the facts of the case, not the status of the accused.
Section 199A of the Motor Vehicles Act makes this case particularly significant, as it addresses the liability of vehicle owners and guardians when a juvenile commits a motor vehicle offence, subject to statutory exceptions. That liability must be examined on its merits, without assumptions or special consideration.
Due process is non-negotiable, but it must operate equally for everyone. The accused is entitled to a fair hearing, and the victim’s family deserves a fair and impartial investigation.
The credibility of the justice system rests on the principle that no position places anyone above the law.

Honda has spent decades building one of India’s strongest two-wheeler franchises. Yet, it sold just 4,312 electric two-wheelers in FY26, while rivals TVS, Bajaj and Ather raced ahead.
Its decision to scrap the planned ₹600 crore dedicated EV factory signals a recalibration of its ambitions. While India’s electric two-wheeler market is growing, mainstream adoption still depends on more than the vehicle itself. Battery longevity, resale value, reliable servicing and convenient charging remain critical to consumer confidence, particularly in a price-sensitive market where buyers weigh the long-term economics of switching from petrol.
For Honda, the challenge is to translate its brand legacy into trust in an entirely new ownership experience. Winning in India’s EV market will require not just a competitive product, but a compelling case for why consumers should make the switch and trust that decision for years to come.

Just can’t stop laughing. 😅
A missed sign and a sudden braking manoeuvre can turn an ordinary drive into a serious collision.
Stay vigilant, anticipate road signs early, signal in advance and never make abrupt manoeuvres to correct a missed exit. Safe driving is about anticipating hazards, not just reacting to them.

Building faster roads is one thing. Getting truckers to use them is another. When you're operating on thin margins, tolls, food, repair facilities and safe places to rest all factor into the decision.
India’s $130 billion expressway bet will deliver its full potential only when these highways make freight movement not just faster, but also more affordable and practical. The real success of these highways will depend on how well they work for the people who use them, not just how much we invest in building them.
India is building US-style expressways to move freight faster. But many truckers still prefer older roads, where food, repairs and rest stops are cheaper. Aryan Gupta explains what’s putting the country’s $130 billion bet at risk: bloom.bg/4Bn5lr4
SBI’s data exposure raises a concern that goes beyond whether banking operations remain unaffected.
When personal details, contact information and loan-related records surface on the dark web, the risk extends to targeted phishing and increasingly convincing impersonation attempts. Customers need to know whether their data is affected, what information may be exposed and what precautions they should take.
The investigation must establish the source and extent of the exposure. But customer communication should be an equally important part of the response. Protecting the banking system is essential; protecting the people who trust it is just as important.

India’s highways are finally losing their boom barriers. Multi-Lane Free Flow tolling is live on stretches like Gurugram–Jaipur, and vehicles now pass toll points without stopping.
That’s real progress. But MLFF isn’t where this ends. MLFF still charges you at a point: a gantry, a camera, a FASTag read. Your toll still depends on where the plaza sits, not on how much road you used. Someone who drives 15 km and someone who drives 60 km can pay the same if both cross the same gantry.
Satellite (GNSS) tolling fixes that. You pay for the kilometres you actually drive. No gantries, no plazas, no leakage between two toll points.
For fleets, that means a toll bill you can predict per route, per trip, per vehicle.
There are good reasons the government paused it in 2025: data privacy, dependence on foreign satellite systems, and NavIC readiness. Those concerns are valid and need to be solved, not ignored.
But the direction is clear. In my view the sequence will be:
- FASTag (pay at the barrier) to MLFF (pay at the gantry, without stopping) and finally GNSS (pay for the road you used)
What most people miss is that every step moves tolling further from the road and closer to the vehicle’s digital identity.
- Unpaid tolls are already being linked to Vahan records, RC transfers, and renewals. Tolling is becoming a compliance problem.
Well good news is that the barrier is going away but just know that accountability is increasing.
Fleet operators: are you ready for distance-based tolling? What worries you most about it?
