You took the trade on someone else’s idea. Now it’s going against you, and you’re waiting for them to say something, or building the case that it isn’t your fault. The trade stopped being yours. A trader who gives away ownership of the result gives away the ability to change it. A trader who owns it can fix it. My book shows why traders give away ownership, and how to change that. “A Trader’s Ride” ~The life you build ~The trader you become Slim’s new book coming soon Get notified (free signup): askslim.com/free-account/

Important post below on France that I needed help deciphering. It’s important to European economies and the stock markets. Read it👇 France’s government already spends 57% of GDP, higher than the Soviet Union (50% in 1989), Communist Romania (42% in 1979), Venezuela under Chávez (38% in 2012), Communist Poland (36% in 1979), or even today’s Communist China (33%). Yet French leftists are still out protesting “austerity” and “neoliberalism.” The post’s point is that the state is already massive, only about one in three people works in the private economy, and voters keep demanding more spending (including an even lower retirement age). Serious reform is politically impossible, so France is heading toward a debt crisis that will drag in the rest of Europe.
Just as a friendly reminder in case there are riots in France tonight again, protesting neoliberalism and austerity. Seriously, in which parallel mental universe do French leftists live?

Investors are getting a taste of what the dangers are of believing you can just hold everything forever. Valuations matter, even if it takes a while to prove it. And those to think they could just hold through market volatility, learn painful lessons. There’s a bear market out there. And when it comes, the pain will be worse than now in AI, because it will be broad. Yes, every time in history, the peak level the bear market began was eventually surpassed on the upside by the next bull market. Sometimes it takes many years. And many investors don’t ever get to take the ride because they did not prudently lighten up at a point of excess. And many investors get forced out of the market because their confidence level in the “long-term” was a trap they didn’t understand. And many of them never have the stomach to return. ~Slim

Investors can see the picture, and its not pretty. $GOOGL, there is a rush to the exits, as the days of "Googling it" driving big growth are over. Cycle analysts, what do you see? Watch the free video to learn more: askslim.com/cycle-analysis-w…

$CAT used to be a Ag equipment stock Then it became a mining equipment stock Then it became an AI stock, benefitting from the huge build out, so it soared with AI. Now that the big spending is in question, investors are bailing - One of the worst -42%. Its's not over on the downside. And that peak at 1073 may not be seen again for years. Well except that bitcoin has no intrinsic value. It has little purpose or utility other than gambling.
Bitcoin should be at $300K a coin now. Gold is a $25 trillion global asset. If Bitcoin just captures 30% of that, you’re looking at $7-8 trillion in market cap. That’s $600K, $700K per coin. All things being equal, given the AI boom and the rotation of capital in and out of gold, Bitcoin should be at $300K right now.

Every trader who held a loser too long can name the moment they knew. The level broke. The bounce failed. The chart said it. They saw it & stayed anyway. Ask them why, most can’t answer. They’ll say hope or stubbornness. The real answer was already inside them before the trade was placed.
