In an exemplary act of public service, police constables Manoj Gosavi and Pandit Dhulgande from the Bavdhan Traffic Division swept and cleaned a dangerous stretch of road along Pirangut Ghat near Pune. Large quantities of ready-mix concrete (RMC) dust and gravel spilled from a transit mixer between Lavale Phata and Pirangut Ghat, posing a grave risk of skidding and severe accidents for two-wheeler and four-wheeler commuters.
Realizing the immediate hazard, the two traffic cops grabbed brooms, cleared the accumulated gravel, and washed down the road with water to ensure safe passage. Their timely intervention and dedication to road safety prevented potential fatal crashes along the ghat section, earning widespread appreciation from local citizens and senior police officials.
