Ziploc bag storage in cereal boxes. It's about time!! @Cheerios is leading the way and hopefully this catches on quickly with everyone else!

Yea, the city can use a "smarter" way to do code enforcement, but you can bet your bottom dollar that'll require more property taxes from residents.

Florida sheriff budgets nearly doubled in 5 years. I support the police completely, but when budgets explode like this, somebody has to ask where the money's going.

Amendment 3 secures a 20-25% pay raise for all of our counties..
It stops the abnormal 50% - 4 year increase, that no one expected.
A3 moves us toward true home ownership and helps force more accountability for our government spending.
The 12 billion decrease is just a decrease in wasted spending while securing an all time high amount for Police, Fire, and Schools.
VOTE YES on 3 and then let’s come back and overhaul the entire system.

St. Pete didn't shut down its DEI office. It just changed the sign on the door. And David Jolly says he'll make sure DEI stays alive in Florida.

Oof.
Reese's Pieces have no chocolate in them. The peanuts had their oil pressed out and a cheaper fat put back in.
Sugar is first, then partially defatted peanuts, then hydrogenated palm kernel and soybean oil, then corn syrup solids. Everything after that is 2% or less, and it's the dyes, the glaze, some vanillin and a little milk. There's no cocoa anywhere.
Partially defatted just means the peanuts went through a press. The peanut oil comes out one side and gets sold as peanut oil. What's left is a dry peanut flour, and that's what the center is made from, because flour holds a shape in a panning drum and doesn't go rancid. Then they put fat back in, and the fat they picked is hydrogenated palm kernel oil, which is solid at room temperature and costs less than peanut oil. You can see the swap on the panel. 38 pieces have 6 g of fat and all 6 are saturated. Peanut oil is mostly unsaturated, so that number isn't the peanut.
The shell is sugar with 4 dyes and a coat of shellac.
In a state full of self-serving elected officials, be a @Sheriff_Rosie. She found quite a bit of waste to trim from her budget.

Florida tax collectors offices don't need a PR campaign and Google likes to get me to want to go there!! I don't want to, because it means paying the gov't money!

My Op-Ed @SunSentinel
I struggled with Amendment 3. Then my assessment arrived | Opinion sun-sentinel.com/2026/10/25/……
For me, the combination of what the research found and what happened to my own tax bill is enough. I will vote yes in November. Others can look at the same evidence and decide differently. But before voting, every Floridian should ask their city and county a simple question:
As property values rose, how much did you lower the tax rate — and what did you do with the additional revenue?

Florida's Amendment 3 is a great opportunity for Socialists to show us how serious they are.
Vote Yes to allow those of us who own a home to reduce our tax burden. If you are serious about being a Socialist, all you have to do is remove YOUR Homestead exemption and pay the full amount of taxes.
It's a win-win. Vote YES on #3

It's not a revenue problem. It's an out of control spending problem.
Thanks @Patience911x! Hillsborough’s public pay goes well beyond County Hall. Airport CEO: $750K salary + $150K bonus. Port CEO: $657K base + $300K bonus + $50K retirement. Different funding pots, same question: what do we get for it? Big paychecks deserve big scrutiny.

You have to crawl before you can walk. VOTE YES on Amd #3 and force them to put the funding on priorities. Not foolish pet feel good projects for special interest groups. All of the things you mention can be addressed but AMD #3 needs to be the foundation for reform. YES ON 3

I'm not forgetting about waste, fraud, or abuse. I'm all for holding local governments accountable for every taxpayer dollar. But here's what you're overlooking: How exactly does Amendment 3 eliminate waste, fraud, or abuse? Does it require audits, prosecute corruption, eliminate excessive salaries, or hold anyone accountable? No.
And cutting local revenue doesn't automatically eliminate wasteful spending. It could just as easily put pressure on essential services while the questionable spending continues.
I also don't want Tallahassee holding the checkbook and deciding how our local communities operate. That's not my idea of smaller government.
But let me ask you a question: How much do you personally pay in property taxes each year? I'm genuinely curious.

I'm ok with them cutting frivolous spending; in fact, I demand it. My county put 5 new positions on hold for admin assistants to each of the 5 commissioners at a cost of about $400k salaries/benefits. All thanks to Amendment 3.
This is the way it should be.

Because of the school district exemption, property tax will not be eliminated even if your home is valued under $250,000. We need to find a different way to fund school districts, one that holds them accountable for their spending. (I worked in a district IT Dept; I've seen it.)
