I like that Wiener campaign showed it’s hand as soon as the polls closed. Straight to trying to control local media. Something to think about and watch for those who aren’t that familiar with him.

Wiener took out ads that he was about regulating tech so I think he was definitely trying to equivocate on the techno-fascist message, but like Gaza everyone knew it was fake. People just want fake here right now! Bland people love fake.
I’ve waited my entire adult life for Pelosi to be gone and now she’s being replaced by someone who’s somehow even worse

Too bad Connie Chan is going to lose. I went be her campaign headquarters tonight, it was all Union people. Tech money rules the Bay Area so we get the Wieners.
Delusional
Replying to @HumphreyBlogut @becauseberkeley
It would be so nice if we did a Hausmann style reform but for every city of the bay area to have their own coherent language
San francisco would be taller elongated victorian rowhouses
Oakland would be african american art déco style like some of uptown
Berkeley would be a densified multistory arts and crafts style
San José full spanish monterrey mission style revival
and so on and so forth
But for this I am afraid we need to give a local authoritarian carte blanche to change all zoning and aesthetic laws like Hausmann did for a decade

We live to defeat YIMBY!!! Keep up the good work @becauseberkeley At some point people are gonna wake up & smell the YIMBY scam, lies, & cultish behavior! @Scott_Wiener @Scott_Whiner
48% voted YIMBY in my district...in BERKELEY!
This is what happens when every plot of land is viewed as a way to double one's money, w/ the city's blessing. The slow death begins. New homeowners are all wealthy, & they'll slap up that privacy fence before they even move in.
Justin Herman used eminent domain to bulldoze 60 sq blocks of the Fillmore, destroying over 450 Black-owned businesses and displacing thousands of Black and minority families.
In less than a generation, The Fillmore went from Black cultural epicenter to “one of those ghettos.”
A thread on why YIMBY must end.
The SF incarnation of this deadly movement goes back to 1960
