Ever landed in a new country, opened 5 apps, and still felt lost?
I’m building Joy Plus, one app to connect with travelers, get solid local tips, and book experiences.
If you could fix one thing about travel apps, what would it be?
Building this in public, follow the journey.
Just launched on a brand new domain, DR 1 🥲 Everyone says directories are dead for SEO. Worth it or waste of time in 2026?

Big update coming for Joy Plus in the next few days.
12,000+ activities bookable worldwide through 450+ travel agency partnerships.
Goal is simple: bring solo travelers together so they can find cool people to book activities with.
In Vietnam for the next few months.
Going to use Joy Plus exactly how our users would.
Find activities, try to connect with other solo travelers, see what breaks, what works, what's missing.
Best way to build a travel app? Actually travel with it. Will share what I learn!

Conversation flowed naturally. There's something about this city that makes people open to connecting. The digital nomad scene here is real.
Thinking of organizing a small cafe meetup here for founders/nomads.
Happy December! Last sprint of the year. We’re pushing new features on Joy Plus to level up how travelers connect 🌎
Haven't posted on X lately - been heads down on user acquisition.
Testing out reels and trial content on repeat. Hit 100K views/day, now pushing for 500K/day, then 1M.
Not stopping until the app gets the traction it deserves.
Been posting on instagram for months and honestly the biggest lesson is that the algorithm doesn't care about your perfect post.
It cares that you keep showing up.
My best performing reels? Posted them without overthinking.
The ones I spent hours on? Crickets...
Just hit post and move on!
