Eldar: A computing environment for doing serious work with AI. This is my personal system published as a reference. Borrow what you like. Send me feedback!

Models reason well and follow procedures poorly (or at least inconsistently). So let them reason, but don't rely on them to follow the procedure.
I wrote up how we built Clicky around that idea:

What frustrates me the most is the lack of curiosity.
People saw the numbers they wanted to see and ran with the story. They didn’t ask about the process. They didn’t question the results. They didn’t explore the code. They didn’t look at the history.
You could have even asked a coding agent to do an initial investigation.
There has never been a better time to be curious, dig deeper, learn... but this is what we’ve got now.
Oh well.
Agents are lazy and will involve you when they don't need to if you let them. There is a fine line between applying judgement and enabling bad behavior.

In Jan 2024 a ClickFunnels deploy took 3 hours and 9 people. We did 30 of them that month.
Now a merge starts it. Clicky ships it in about 10 minutes and only pulls someone in when a check fails.
The win for me is people freed up to stay on the work that moves the platform forward.

🥳 Google is donating Agent Substrate to CNCF, and our submissions is accepted today! This effort has now the full potential to become the underlying compute runtime layer for all agentic systems. github.com/cncf/sandbox/issu…
Remember programming? Read this while the taste is still in your mouth. 😭💕

Here’s an outtake:
“Every programmer occasionally, when nobody’s home, turns off the lights, pours a glass of scotch, puts on some light German electronica, and opens up a file on their computer. It’s a different file for every programmer. Sometimes they wrote it, sometimes they found it and knew they had to save it.”
Shipping your side project doesn't mean putting it online. You have to promote it/talk about it/give it a fair shot.
If you've built a product and haven't (really) shipped it, @adamlogic will set you straight. Thanks for the chat Adam, I needed that!
Me and @nate_vick vibe-coded a Rust application in 2023 by copy/pasting from ChatGPT. I still don’t know how it works, but it has worked great in prod every day since then.
I’ll keep reading the code when my classifier tells me I should based on the rules I gave it. Otherwise, I don’t even want to know it existed.
Agents are incredibly resourceful. That's usually a good thing. But left unattended, that same resourcefulness can obscure real problems. Here's how we solved it at ClickFunnels with Jev. funnelcoders.myclickfunnels.…
Clicky shipped 4 PR’s to itself during DHH’s opening keynote 🦾

I started building ClickFunnel's agentic software factory on a Friday night in February. The vibes were strong, and I stayed up all night... It's come a long way since then and I'm excited to share about it. It's named "Clicky" and has adorable branding.

I setup an environment to tinker with Agent Substrate. This project is breaking new ground. Check it out!
🥳 This week we announced Agent Substrate. It's the compute runtime (that can work on Kubernetes) that enables everything you've seen from me. We can suspend and resume so fast that you can do it per tool call.
