Great piece by @mfcannon on the scam that is provider taxes. Medicaid is an important program for millions of people but states are using "creative accounting" to shift costs they should bear, onto the federal government. Worth reading.

Please stop the BS that it takes 60 votes to pass a bill in the Senate. Bills only need a majority to pass. The problem arises when a Sen filibusters a motion to proceed to CONSIDERATION. A Sen can allow a bill to come up and vote against the bill. Simple majority.
