Sadness comes from a lack of options. —Which is why it it feels like hopelessness. Anxiety comes from many options but a lack of priorities. —Which is why it feels like paralysis. Looking everywhere but moving nowhere. Solve sadness with knowledge & anxiety with a decision.

Good programming advice can be taken too far: DRY - “I don’t repeat anything, ever” Single responsibility - “Every function I write is one line” TDD - “I always write the test first and have 100% coverage” Think of these ideas as a spectrum. The mistakes are at the extremes.

dating is a pipeline game. it's about successfully generating leads. sourcing sourcing sourcing. the best case is to start with a large top of funnel. then you qualify them and move whatever prospects down the funnel. this leads to love.

ChatGPT's answers are like journalism: they sound fairly convincing unless they're about something you understand well, in which case you realize they're full of mistakes.

What issues have you had implementing the 'as' prop in React? Seems like there are two main ways of doing it 🧵
