It was noon. Told me, “By all accounts, they boarded the Sealdah Express that crosses Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab before reaching Jammu. It’s an arduous two-day journey. Why did they not get down at any of the stations in between?” There is a syndicate active in Kolkata that has facilitated Rohingya migration to Jammu for years. Apparently the govt is running an anti-encroachment drive these days asking them to clear the areas they have illegally occupied, and some of them have reportedly begun to leave But the exercise is looking more like a temporary inconvenience for the infiltrators than a serious effort to clear Jammu and India of them.

How a person can know who is his/ her Kuladevta There are many people who, due to certain reasons may not have any clue about who is their Kuladevta or Kuladevi. But they genuinely desire to know about who their Kuladevta is. In such cases, the person can do a Kaul Prashna or Pathri prashna in a Devi devasthanam to know exactly about his/ her Kuladevta. Both of these, are Vedic and scientific methods since ancient Vedic times that were used by our Rishi Munis to communicate with Devi directly to solve a devotee's problem or dilemma. A senior experienced Archaka at the Devi devasthanam does the Kaul prashna and deciphers the answer from Devi and later communicates it to the devotee. The devotee and his/ her family gets to sit inside the Garbhagriha and actually witness the Kaul prashna. Similarly, in Pathri prashna, Aavesha of Devi comes in the Archaka and he communicates with the devotees directly and gives a solution to their problem or dilemma. This tradition is beautifully potrayed in the movie 'Kantara'. By means of either Kaul prashna or Pathri prashna, the devotee can know the exact name and location of his/ her Kuladevta or Kuladevi. But, you must have the genuine desire to know about your Kuladevta and also have faith in Bhagwan. Kaul prashna is done in Shantadurga and Mahalakshmi Devasthan in Goa. Pathri prashna is done at Ambalpady Mahakali Devasthanam at Udupi and Halle Mariamma devasthan in Kaup, Udupi. Kaul prashna happens daily except Poornima, Amavasya, Ekadashi and Shukravaara at Mahalakshmi Devasthan Goa and Pathri prashna happens on every friday at Ambalpady Kali devasthan during 5pm to 9pm in the evening.
