Each morning, you wake up to a terrible new development in Pakistan. Apparently, our country is cursed... for what reasons, perhaps you're more aware than I am. This tariff hike will ultimately affect consumers belonging to the middle & lower classes, not the small percentage of the elite...
The authorities need to investigate this matter. It's a sectarian time bomb waiting to explode... @SindhCMHouse @BBhuttoZardari @SindhPoliceDMC

Another Disturbing Incident of #ShiaPersecution in #Karachi
On the night of 5 November 2026, a disturbing armed attack took place near Holy Family Hospital, Parsi Colony, within the jurisdiction of Soldier Bazaar Police Station,
The vehicle carrying Agha Raheem Jaffri , Chairman of the Tahaffuz-e-Azadari Council Pakistan , and Advocate Majid Ali Bhaiyo, General Secretary of the Council's Sindh Chapter, came under gunfire by #SunniSupremacist
According to reports, four unidentified assailants opened fire on their silver Suzuki Alto VXL. Four bullets reportedly struck the vehicle, shattering its rear and driver's-side windows. Agha Rahim Jafri sustained minor injuries from the shattered glass, while Advocate Majid Ali Bhaiyo remained unharmed.
Police and the crime scene unit subsequently arrived at the scene, recovered four spent .30-bore bullet casings and began efforts to obtain CCTV footage. A case has reportedly been registered under attempted murder provisions, and the injured were taken to hospital for medical examination.
Those responsible for targeted attacks on Shias continue to roam free without arrest or investigation. This pattern highlights deeply troubling #ShiaProfiling and state negligence.
This heartbreaking incident reflects a persistent cycle in which victims of Shia Community are persecuted, while #TakfiriDeobandi elements and those involved in sectarian violence appear to operate with impunity.
How many more attacks must take place before the Law Enforcement Agencies, @SindhGovtPk fulfil their constitutional and legal responsibility to protect citizens? How many more lives must be put at risk before the perpetrators of sectarian violence are identified, arrested and brought to justice?

Give it a rest, #Hegseth. The Iran war has already really hurt the Republicans. You should worry about dealing with your upcoming impeachment attempt...

So #JDVance has finally admitted it and, to a certain extent, without hurting his overinflated ego, #Trump has as well. When the very premise of the campaign that won you the presidential election was that you wouldn't involve the US in any foreign war, how could you just go back on your word, causing hardships in the form of higher fuel & grocery prices, & not expect any consequences? In any case, you managed to pull off something that a couple of years ago seemed impossible, so you can certainly take credit for that... #IranWar #USMidtermElections

After repeated flashing of “Mr Patlo”, the Tiktoker, in our news media, I checked his TikTok account, for the heck of it. After checking his useless content and watching millions of his followers, I was convinced that our collective gene pool has shrunk beyond belief.
Sad!

Apparently, Mr Patlu's mehndi didn't go as planned. This is what happens when TikTokers pull off weird stunts for views. The police have now reportedly registered a case against him...
The controversial #Peca law is being systematically used to silence voices of dissent. The method is always the same... fake FIRs lead to a long legal process that traps journalists & activists for years. We have plenty of examples, with @ImaanZHazir & @AdvHadiali being the most recent. This report only confirms that...
Bon voyage, mon capitaine. The passing of #SirPatrickStewart is a profound loss. As Captain Jean-Luc Picard, he made us believe in our capacity to "boldly go where no one has gone before". As Professor Charles Xavier, he taught us to fight to protect others & hope for a better tomorrow...

An anti-terrorism court sentenced Imaan Zainab Mazari-Hazir and her husband, Hadi Ali Chattha, to 10 years in prison each in the security breach case.
To describe this move as a travesty of justice would be trivial. Justice is already dead & buried in Pakistan. Will someone please explain what #Imaan and #Hadi have done to deserve such harsh punishments?

I haven't been harshly critical of the now-non-functional #PTI-led govt in #KP, but this report is a damning disclosure of its governance. Even though it doesn't justify the imposition of governor's rule, it goes on to show that all its energies were devoted to having its leader released. While the latter isn't necessarily a bad thing, the priority should be fulfilling the responsibilities for which it was elected
