According to Project Veritas' 2022 reporting, the documents contradicted Dr. Fauci's testimony before Congress.
According to the documents, the Dept of Defense rejected EcoHealth Alliance's proposed coronavirus research because it was deemed "too dangerous" and "too close" to violating the gain-of-function research moratorium. According to the documents, the research later proceeded through NIAID under Dr. Fauci's leadership.
