Hacking on a tool to bridge the gap between "agent finished iterating on a plan" and "committing+pushing my changes for review"
It's basically `git add -p` with super powers, letting you prompt+polish as you go. Experimental and still lots of jank, but fun so far!

I really wanted a tool that avoids the pitfalls of vibe coding and prompting without line level context. I can review the code, ask questions, and prompt changes. All while easily staging/ignoring anything inconsequential.
do you work primarily in a terminal via SSH or a codespace? I made a tool that you may be interested in! it provides clipboard access and `open` support through ssh so it’s almost like working locally.

I've been using TypeScript on a side project and I'm really loving how much type safety you can achieve with a bit of effort. I ended up migrating from hbs to JSX/React to get even more type-safety and wrote a post about it.

Hacking on a code formatter for Ruby and learned about this fun shadowing edge case:
With explicit parens calls the method defined on the class, without returns nil.
Added `set -g status-right '#(cd #{pane_current_path}; git rev-parse --abbrev-ref HEAD)’` to my `~/.tmux.conf` and got rid of RPROMPT to show the current git branch and it’s been great.
My super WIP Ruby formatter just got to the point where it can format itself and the tests still run/pass! 🎉

I never thought about Rails models this way before, but they’re basically just decorators on database rows
it was kind of an “ohhhhhhh” moment when I was pairing and saw some JSON hashes being decorated. we extracted them into classes and it was a big improvement
the surface pro x looks like what I wish the iPad could be. totally tempted to get one but I don’t think I could deal with windows.
just give me a terminal on the iPad and everything will be great.

I also wrote a post about the adventure I had to go on in order to get Objective-C + #golang interop to actually listen to macOS URL events blakewilliams.me/posts/handl…
tl;dr Go’s support for C interop is great and making a `.app` from scratch is a lot simpler than it sounds.
It’s been a while, but I hacked on a project this weekend to scratch an itch. I made github.com/BlakeWilliams/b-r… which is an app for macOS that you set as your default browser and it routes URL’s to your browser of choice based on regex patterns you define. Mostly CLI oriented.
Using cgo to write Go + Objective-C for macOS integration is pretty rad. Turns out you don’t actually need too much boilerplate to get a working .app running.
Not my usual genre or music that I’d seek out on my own, but I’ve been really enjoying this: music.apple.com/us/curator/m…
Great advice on recognizing the good things you’ve done. It’s good to push and be hard on yourself sometimes but it’s super easy to ignore all the things you’ve accomplished along the way.
