I was barely able to train on any of the days leading up to the final. "I went into the match barely fit enough to play. I played the way I did after taking a couple of pills and receiving painkilling injections. My body just couldn’t take any more in the second half. "It’s already frustrating enough to go into a match as important as a World Cup final when you’re not fully fit. It makes you angry, but you always want to be out there.
