"Nearly 7 years after her first attempt to test Ebola prevention drugs, Jaspard is stunned by the sudden interest in the trial. “I've kept this project for all these years, despite the fact that a lot of people were saying it's not useful, you don't need to do this, go away,” she says."

Breakdown of the paper:
The study investigates the role of the choroid plexus (ChP) in patients with post-COVID condition (PCC). The ChP is a structure inside the brain that produces cerebrospinal fluid and regulates the entry of immune cells into the brain. Previous research has suggested that the ChP may be affected by SARS-CoV-2 infection.
The study found that PCC patients had enlarged ChP volume compared to healthy controls. This ChP enlargement was associated with cognitive dysfunction, reduced gray matter volume in frontal and subcortical areas, white matter integrity and diffusivity changes, and functional connectivity changes. The ChP volume changes were also related to increased levels of intermediate monocytes, which are involved in inflammation.
