“I am only too conscious of having failed the son of God, and all that I’m supposed to be, but I hope that when I go there for judgement that I will hear from Him these words:
‘I heard my mother speak of you.’”
-Blessed Fulton Sheen

Belated happy feast day to St. Margaret of Scotland!
Went from being an English refugee princess to queen of Scotland, had 8 kids, and still found time to feed orphans and turn the royal palace into a soup kitchen/prayer hub. St. Margaret, pray for us! @SrTeresam

On this feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, amid the sorrow of recent political violence like the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk, we seek her intercession for peace. As Kirk wisely said: "We don’t talk about Mary enough, we don’t venerate her enough... Mary is the solution." May we honor her by turning to her example of faith and resilience. 🙏 #OurLadyOfSorrows #CharlieKirk

Before being asked to draw St. Marguerite Bays’ portrait, I’d never heard of her. Researching her life, a laywoman who selflessly served the poor, sick, and children despite her own poverty and illness, changed me profoundly. Her hidden stigmata and prayers for sinners’ salvation has inspired selflessness in me. Selflessness that I fail at daily. St. Marguerite, pray for me that I may be selfless and humble at all times.

Today we celebrate the feast day of St. Josemaría Escrivá, the founder of Opus Dei and a guiding light for finding God in the daily grind. His message that we can all become saints by offering our work, chores, and small acts of love to God resonates deeply as we navigate life’s challenges, including the reality of diabetes, which touches so many of us, directly or through loved ones. St. Josemaría, pray for us!

Amen, I say to you, among those born of women there has been none greater than John the Baptist; yet the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

St. Philip Neri, pray for us!
Yesterday, May 21, we celebrated the feast day of St. Salvador Lara Puente, a young martyr of the Cristero War in Mexico. At just 21, Salvador showed unwavering courage, standing firm in his faith despite persecution. A former seminarian, he supported his family while leading Catholic Action and the National League for the Defense of Religious Liberty. On August 15, 1926, he faced martyrdom with a smile, proclaiming his faith alongside his cousin and pastor. His cry of “¡Viva Cristo Rey!” echoes as a testament to his heroism. I meant to share my artwork honoring him yesterday but missed the moment—still, his inspiring legacy lives on! #StSalvadorLaraPuente #CristeroWar #FaithAndCourage @SrTeresam
Happy Feast Day of St. Isidore the Farmer!
Today, we honor St. Isidore, the patron saint of farmers. A simple farmer in 12th-century Spain, Isidore labored tirelessly in the fields, offering his daily toils to God. Despite his poverty, he shared what little he had with those in need, trusting in divine providence.
Farmers, like St. Isidore, embody sacrifice. They rise before dawn, endure unpredictable weather, and pour their hearts into nurturing crops and livestock to feed our families. Their calloused hands and resilient spirits sustain communities, often at great personal cost. Every meal on our table is a testament to their quiet heroism.
Let’s pray through St. Isidore’s intercession for all farmers today: May God bless their labor, protect their harvests, and grant them strength to continue their vital work.
Take a moment to thank a farmer in your life or support local agriculture in gratitude for their sacrifices.
St. Isidore, pray for us! #FeastOfStIsidore #Farmers #ThankAFarmer @SrTeresam
