This + new CNN polls showing Dems leading all four big Senate races they surveyed all pointing to a significant blue wave environment. Fundamentals are rough for the GOP. Then again, another polling miss (esp. in red states) & candidate quality issues for Ds could mitigate…

🚨 NEW: Fox’s Brit Hume CALLS OUT media for putting off quality election candidates from running: “It would take a less poisonous media atmosphere. What able person in his or her right mind would want to run for office in this climate?” “You’re going to get scrutinised in ways that are often totally unfair, out of bounds or over the top. Who wants to subject themselves or their families to that?” “The result is that we end up with some highly mediocre people. Some is the best people in our country are not eager to run for office.”

This is totally inappropriate language for a federal judge. I don't care what anyone's politics are or what you think of Trump. Just decide the damn case. Don't inject your own personal political opinions into it.
Judge David Carter: "Never before in American history has the federal government, on the eve of an election, sought to coerce a state and local government to abandon their own Constitutional elections procedures and bend to the will of the Executive Branch. In bringing this lawsuit, the Executive would have this Court believe that it reigns as a sole sovereign. But California and its people are sovereign, too."

Totally false, Steve. USAID is not funding anything. It’s closing out contracts & shuttering the agency.
BANNON: We haven’t cut off USAID. Don’t let anybody believe we’ve done that. They’re still pouring money all over the country. OMB, @russvought, we love you, brother. Where are my rescissions on USAID? If Congress doesn’t have enough balls to do it, how come OMB doesn’t have enough balls to do it? We’ve got to get serious about this. We’re not serious.

🚫 CLAIM: Over recent days and weeks, Iranian-controlled media have reported Iranian claims that commercial vessels are hitting sea mines while transiting the Strait of Hormuz. These claims are FALSE. ✅ FACT: All internationally recognized primary transit routes through the Strait of Hormuz have been cleared of sea mines by U.S. forces and remain so. Thousands of commercial vessels have safely used the transit lanes and continue today.

Fake & Gay! Moussa Diawara, the Malian national featured in this shockingly poorly researched @60Minutes report, now faces allegations of immigration FRAUD after his asylum application surfaced, revealing that he claimed to be a HOMOSEXUAL man who feared persecution in Mali. Read more ⬇️
🚨 #FOXEXCLUSIVE: 60 Minutes featured a deported Malian national whose wife and two children spoke about how much they miss him and want him home. But we exclusively obtained Moussa Diawara’s asylum application, where he said he was seeking asylum in the U.S. because he was gay and feared being killed if sent back. Now, DHS is pointing to his case as an example of alleged immigration fraud. In his own words, Diawara wrote: “Although I was born as a boy, but things appeared differently for me as I was already having female behaviors and feelings.” “I was more comfortable being intimate with boys rather than with girls.” And describing his life after arriving in the United States: “Since I came to the USA I had the possibilities to express my feelings to men without any embarrassment no reserve.” Read the asylum application for yourself:

One hundred and forty five years ago today, in Tombstone, Arizona Territory, four men walked down Fremont Street and about thirty seconds later three men were dead. It did not happen at the O.K. Corral. It happened in a narrow vacant lot beside a photography studio belonging to a man named C.S. Fly. The back entrance of the O.K. Corral was roughly six doors away. The fight was never in it or next to it. Nobody called it the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral at the time either. The event was barely known outside Arizona until Stuart Lake's heavily fictionalized Wyatt Earp biography in 1931, and the name everybody uses comes from a Burt Lancaster movie in 1957. The real dispute was not lawmen against outlaws in any clean way. It was factional, and the factions were about as sharp as they get in a town of a few thousand people. The Earps were Republicans and Northerners, tied to the town, the mining money, and the Tombstone Epitaph. The Cowboys were rural, Southern-sympathizing ranchers with a profitable side business in rustling and stolen horses, tied to county sheriff Johnny Behan and the Tombstone Nugget. Two parties, two newspapers, two economies, one small town. The legal hook was Ordinance 9, passed in April 1881, which made it illegal to carry a deadly weapon inside Tombstone without a written permit. You checked your gun when you came into town. The night before, Ike Clanton got drunk, picked a fight with Doc Holliday, and then spent hours telling anybody who would listen that he was going to kill the Earps. Virgil Earp, the town marshal, played poker with him until dawn. The next afternoon Virgil walked up behind Ike, pistol-whipped him, and dragged him in front of a judge, who fined him twenty five dollars. Witnesses said Wyatt told Ike he was going to have to fight. Ike said, "Fight is my racket, and all I want is four feet of ground." Behan then told the Earps he had already disarmed the Clantons and McLaurys. He had not. He later testified that he had only said he intended to. So Virgil, Morgan and Wyatt Earp walked down Fremont Street, with Doc Holliday, who Virgil had temporarily deputized and handed a shotgun. Here is the part the movies tend to skip. It is not clear that every man they shot was armed. Billy Clanton and Frank McLaury certainly were. Ike Clanton said he was unarmed, ran into Fly's building, and survived. Behan testified that Tom McLaury opened his coat to show he had no gun on him. The witness accounts conflict, and they have conflicted for a hundred and forty five years. Roughly thirty shots in roughly thirty seconds. Dead: Billy Clanton, who was nineteen years old. Tom McLaury. Frank McLaury. Wounded: Virgil, Morgan, and Holliday. Wyatt Earp was not touched. And then the town made its opinion clear. The funeral for the three dead men was described by the Epitaph as about the largest Tombstone had ever seen. The town brass band led it. People packed the sidewalks for three or four blocks. Ike Clanton filed murder charges. Justice of the Peace Wells Spicer opened a preliminary hearing on October 31 that ran more than a month. On November 30 he ruled there was not enough evidence to indict, and that the Earps and Holliday had acted within the law. He also called Virgil's decision to deputize Wyatt and Holliday an injudicious and censurable act. A grand jury agreed with him. Legally it was finished. Actually it had just started. On December 28, 1881, around 11:30 at night, three men fired buckshot at Virgil Earp from an unfinished building across Allen Street and destroyed his left arm. He carried it in a sling the rest of his life. On March 18, 1882, around ten minutes to eleven at night, Morgan Earp was shot through a glass door while playing billiards. The round broke his spine and he was dead inside an hour. A second shot buried itself in the ceiling just above where Wyatt was standing. Two days later Wyatt started killing people, and over the following week his posse shot Frank Stilwell, Florentino Cruz, Curly Bill Brocius and Johnny Barnes. Five of the Earp party ended up wanted for murder in Arizona. They left the territory and never came back. Thirty seconds on Fremont Street is the part that got the movie. The five months afterward are what it actually cost. Billy Clanton and the McLaury brothers are buried together in Boothill, under a marker that reads "Murdered in the Streets of Tombstone." And the photographer whose empty lot they died in took their portrait afterward, laid out in their caskets, which is the reason you can still look at their faces.

Replying to @VanityFair
This excerpt is from a book containing outrageous and categorically false allegations. We denied every claim on the record, yet the author provided not a single shred of verifiable evidence to substantiate them. No bank statements, wire transfer records, account numbers, transaction dates, or other verifiable details were provided to support these extraordinary accusations. The above never happened. It is deeply disappointing that Vanity Fair would publish such extraordinary accusations without independently verifying them. This is not journalism. It is fiction being presented as fact.

Was that same deal on the table before Yorktown, or nah? Of course, this war needs to end with a deal. That doesn't mean Ukraine needs to surrender.
George Washington did sign a deal to end the Revolution. It was called the Treaty of Paris, and it established America’s boundaries and water rights, handled war debts, allowed for return of prisoners of war, provided restitution for property, and even gave the British the right to navigate the Mississippi River. That’s how wars end. Mitt Romney doesn’t know this, because Romneys don’t fight wars. Romneys either flee to Europe or stay home and get rich while better men fight wars for them. The Romneys never saw a war they weren’t willing to dodge while demanding better men fight it for them.

For most of the war, Iran had an invaluable cushion: dozens of oil tankers holding millions of barrels of crude sitting safely in waters in Asia. Tehran steadily sold the oil to China, bringing in billions of much-needed cash. Now, it's all gone. on.wsj.com/4jvo65a

We don’t have confirmation of this account. But if Jared said anything like this, well done. It’s right. The Russians use talks to delay additional U.S. pressure. There’s a pattern here. ‘Moreover, raising his voice, Kushner reportedly delivered an extremely harsh rebuke: “You are simply stalling for time and feeding us illusions while your country is slowly sinking!”’
THE SON-IN-LAW IS NO WITKOFF! This time, Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law and key adviser, was absent from the American delegation. Officially, his absence was attributed to a seasonal illness. However, according to this account, the real reason behind the diplomatic maneuver was a September meeting at the Kremlin, where Kushner and Putin had a heated confrontation. When the Russian leader spoke about the imminent capture of Donbas, Kushner sharply objected: “With all due respect, you told us exactly the same thing a year ago. What are the chances that we will come back here in another year and you will tell us the same thing again? Maybe we shouldn't waste another year?” Moreover, raising his voice, Kushner reportedly delivered an extremely harsh rebuke: “You are simply stalling for time and feeding us illusions while your country is slowly sinking!” Behind Jared Kushner’s supposed “illness,” the account alleges, lies a serious split within Trump’s own team. Witkoff favors a “flexible approach” and concessions along the line of contact, while Kushner has taken a much tougher position, demanding immediate guarantees from Moscow regarding Donbas. This disagreement reportedly culminated in the September confrontation with Putin. To avoid jeopardizing the summit and the delivery of the so-called “Norwegian package,” Trump allegedly decided to temporarily remove his son-in-law from direct contact with the Russian leader, entrusting the face-to-face diplomatic negotiations to the more accommodating Witkoff.

🚨 NEW: Fox’s Brit Hume calls out Steve Witkoff for calling Putin ‘a humanitarian’ “Witkoff is a famously very genial guy and nice guy. What Trump has said about him everybody likes him. Maybe now Vladimir Putin likes him too for saying something pretty extravagant there that he is a humanitarian.” “The guy is a war criminal for God’s sake and rains down bombs on civilians without regard to human life. To call him a humanitarian is absurd...” “When you are trying to get a guy who has been locked up for four years illegally, you don’t insult the guy. Maybe you flatter him. Maybe this time he flattered him a little too much,” adds @brithume

MEANINGFUL PEACE PROPOSAL: "It puts Putin on the spot to respond in kind and puts President Trump on the spot as well after he has been blaming Zelenskyy for the failure of these negotiations and the failure even to get them started. Zelenskyy's now said something. It’s a big deal. It may be constitutionally difficult. But it’s a meaningful proposal in terms of what has been on the table before." @brithume
