🚨 Mohamed Salah on scoring and assisting in Trabzonspor’s 2–0 win over Hearts:
🎙️ Interviewer: “Mo, a goal, an assist and another important victory for Trabzonspor. How are you feeling after tonight’s performance?
Mohamed Salah:
“Honestly, I feel very happy. Not just because I scored or assisted, but because we won. That is always the most important thing for me. Goals are beautiful, assists are beautiful, but when you see your teammates celebrating together and the supporters leaving the stadium happy, that feeling is different”
“When I arrived here, I knew the people of Trabzonspor had a special connection with this club. But experiencing it yourself is something else. You feel their passion everywhere. They want you to fight for this badge, to give everything, and I promise them that is exactly what I will do”
“Tonight, I wanted to give them something to celebrate. The goal was important, the assist was important, but the three points mean more to me than any individual achievement”
Interviewer: “Some people questioned what you would bring to Trabzonspor at this stage of your career. Do performances like this give you extra motivation?
Mohamed Salah:
“Listen, if I spent my life answering everybody who doubts me, I would never have time to play football!
“I respect every opinion, but I know what I can give to a team. I have played at the highest level for many years, and I still wake up every morning wanting to improve. I did not come here to enjoy the last chapter of my career. I came here to compete, to win and to help this club achieve something special”
“And to the people of Trabzonspor, I want to say thank you. Your love means a lot to me. When you wear this shirt, you understand that you are representing more than yourself. You are representing a city, a history and supporters who live for these moments”
“Tonight was a good night, but we cannot become satisfied. Tomorrow, we work again. There are more games, more goals to score and more victories to fight for”
“And one more thing: if you thought I came here just to pass the ball and smile for pictures, you have not been watching me closely enough!”
“Trabzonspor gave me a warm welcome. Now I want to repay that love with performances, trophies and memories these supporters will never forget.”
🚨 Thierry Henry on Mohamed Salah’s incredible form at Trabzonspor and whether Liverpool allowed him to leave too early:
“I’m watching Salah score these goals in Turkey, and people keep saying, ‘Well, it’s Turkey.’
Okay. I understand that. But look at how he’s scoring. Look at the movement, the decisions, the final touch. Those things haven’t suddenly appeared because he’s changed leagues.
He’s got 10 goal contributions in 6 games. Against KuPS, a goal and an assist, and that finish was ridiculous.
The funny thing is, when he was at Liverpool, we spent years watching him do extraordinary things and then discussing the one thing he hadn’t done that afternoon.
He’d score and somebody would say he should’ve passed. He’d assist and somebody would say he wasn’t involved enough. He made that level of production look normal.
And that’s why I think Liverpool may have made a mistake.
I’m not saying a player can stay forever. Nobody can. I know that better than most people. But I look at how things developed under Arne Slot, and I ask myself whether Liverpool were too quick to accept that Salah’s time at the club had come to an end.
If Liverpool had handled the succession differently, brought in somebody like Andoni Iraola at the right time, a manager who could give the team fresh energy while still recognising what Salah brings, I genuinely believe Mohamed could’ve given them another two seasons.
And look at what was sitting there for him.
Salah left with 193 Premier League goals. Wayne Rooney had 208. Harry Kane had 213.
Sixteen more and he’d have gone past Rooney. Twenty-one and he’d have gone past Kane.
For Mohamed Salah, across two seasons? Come on.
I played in the Premier League. I know how difficult it is to score there. But I also know that when you have a player who has been doing it consistently for years, you don’t suddenly decide he cannot do it anymore because he’s getting older.
People say, ‘Thierry, he’s not the same player he was five years ago.’
Of course he’s not. Neither was I.
You change. You learn to arrive in different positions. You understand when to run and when to wait. Sometimes you become a more intelligent player because you cannot do everything you did at 25
You don’t judge Salah by the date on his birth certificate. You judge him by what he can still do on a football pitch.
And judging by what I’m watching at Trabzonspor, there’s still a lot he can do.
I don’t blame him for going somewhere he feels wanted. He’s smiling, he’s scoring, and those supporters are enjoying every minute.
But imagine the conversation at Liverpool in two years if he’s still producing numbers like these.
They’ll be talking about the Premier League scoring records he might have chased, while he’s somewhere in Turkey collecting another match ball.
And what makes it frustrating for me is that I don’t think Salah was finished with Liverpool.
I think Liverpool decided his time was over before his football had given them a reason to believe it.”

DEPLASMANA ‘YASAK’ KALDIRILSIN!
Trendyol Süper Lig’in 8. haftasında deplasmanda karşılaşacağımız güzide rakiplerimizden Trabzonspor’un “Deplasmana Yasak Kaldırılsın” başlığıyla paylaştığı çağrıya yürekten katılıyoruz.
Taraftarlar, futbolun en önemli unsurlarından biridir. Başta taraftarlarımız olmak üzere her renkten futbolsever, gönül verdiği takımını ülkemizin her yerindeki deplasman tribününde destekleyebilmelidir.
Beşiktaş JK olarak; deplasmanda Trabzonspor’la oynayacağımız müsabakada taraftarlarımızın deplasman tribününde bulunmalarını arzuluyor, evimizde oynayacağımız karşılaşmada da Trabzonspor taraftarlarını deplasman tribününde ağırlamaktan mutluluk duyacağımızı belirtiyoruz.
Ülkemize yakışmadığına inandığımız deplasman yasağı uygulamasının bu çağrıların ardından son bulmasını temenni ediyoruz.

DEPLASMANA ‘YASAK’ KALDIRILSIN!

Afrika’nın ve Premier Lig’in kralı Mo Salah’dan bahsediyoruz.
• Premier League tarihinde en fazla gol katkısı yapan üçüncü oyuncu. (Shearer 324, Rooney 311, Salah 287)
• Premier League'de bir sezonda Yılın Oyuncusu, Altın Ayakkabı ve En İyi Oyun Kurucu ödüllerini kazanan ilk oyuncu.
• Liverpool tarihinin tüm kulvarlarda en fazla gol atan üçüncü oyuncusu. (Rush 346, Hunt 285, Salah 257)
• Şampiyonlar Ligi tarihinin en hızlı hat-trick'i. (6 dakika 12 saniye)
• Liverpool tarihinde Şampiyonlar Ligi'nde en fazla forma giyen oyuncu. (83)
• Şampiyonlar Ligi'nde 50 gole ulaşan ilk Afrikalı oyuncu.
