You can weep over your sin and still love it.
You can fear its consequences while secretly longing to commit it again.
You can confess it with your lips while keeping it enthroned in your heart.
In his 1668 book The Doctrine of Repentance, the Puritan Thomas Watson identifies SIX essential ingredients of true repentance:
1. SIGHT OF SIN: You must see your own wickedness, not merely the sins of others. You must recognize what you are before a holy God.
2. SORROW FOR SIN: You must grieve not merely because your sin has brought you suffering, but because you have offended the God who made you.
3. CONFESSION OF SIN: You must stop excusing, minimizing, and concealing your transgressions. You must accuse yourself and acknowledge your guilt before God.
4. SHAME FOR SIN: You must learn to blush at what you once boasted of. What once delighted your corrupt heart must now humble you.
5. HATRED OF SIN: You must hate what you once loved. Not merely because sin threatens your happiness, reputation, or eternal safety, but because it is hateful to God.
6. TURNING FROM SIN: You must forsake your wicked ways and turn to God with your whole heart. You cannot claim to have abandoned sin while secretly reserving a place for its return.
You have not truly repented merely because you regret what sin has cost you.
The question is whether you now hate the sin you once cherished, and whether your heart and life are being turned toward God.
Repentance is not merely sorrow over sin.
It is a Spirit-wrought change of heart that produces a change of life.

A Church that does not formally affirm the ancient creeds and at least one of the Protestant Confessions and/or catechisms should not be counted as a Protestant church/congregation.
Your typical megachurch, non-denom, charismaniac church is not Protestant in any meaningful sense. Azusa Street is only about what, 100 years ago? "No creed but Christ" Mega church non-denoms are even more recent.
Confessionalism is essential to Protestantism. If you are not in such a church, you need to join one for your Spiritual well-being.

Pastors like this are the reason communism has infiltrated our state with little to no resistance despite having a church on every corner.
Driving back through AL today I saw a lot more Doug Jones signs than Tuberville.
That tells me that many will vote for Tuberville but they arenโt excited/proud about it.
Heโs going to win, comfortably. But heโs been a lousy senator and will be a lousy governor. I wish the GOP in Alabama could give us some candidates to get excited about and proud to support.

We're rapidly reaching the point in this country where making an honest living is completely pointless. The social contract is dead. The middle class is gone. The American Dream is dead.
Why bother working when some 76 IQ indian can just scam the taxpayer for millions with his cousin rajesh, buy a massive mansion with the stolen money, drive a 200k SUV and nothing ever happens to them.
Even if they get caught, it's just a free flight back to india where generational wealth is waiting for them because they were siphoning millions out of our pockets in remittances. Meanwhile if you tried the same thing you would go to prison for the next 20 years.
People worked 80 hour weeks to build a life for themselves and their family just to be replaced by an H-1B and have their career completely derailed forever. Now they work 3 dead end jobs and are stocking shelves at 5am just for some retarded african to fuck with them so they can sell gambling ads. Which btw is also paying them 10X more than the guy making the honest living.
This country is broken. The incentives are fucked, justice is nowhere to be found and unless we close the border and remigrate tens of millions our country is never coming back.

If you are a Christian living in Alabama, your duty next Tuesday is simple:
1. Go vote.
2. Vote Tommy Tuberville for governor.
Unlike Christians in a lot of states who have to struggle to decide how to vote, we have a very easy choice: Tommy Tuberville over Doug Jones. One candidate is in favor of school choice, has a plan for economic growth, will lower taxes, and valiantly defends life in the womb. The other candidate is in favor of killing school choice, killing the economy with socialist policies, and killing babies. If pastors in this state did their job, Tuberville would win in a complete landslide. Because many pastors do not do their job, and many Christians are too lazy to vote, the election will be much closer than it should be.
