He would be a fine leader but this is neither the post nor the time for him.
Surely there is someone else.

A week ahead of the GOP Platform meeting in Milwaukee in 2024 a column in Townhall warned what would happen if the GOP, a party founded on protecting the full humanity of the slave and the nature of marriage, abandoned the right to life. So it is now. townhall.com/columnists/chuc…

DeSantis has narrowly escaped the Trump debris field, and he must stay clear of it. It remains radioactive and lethal to character and reason in those who enter it.
DeSantis must refuse. His standing in ’28 depends on his steering clear of Trump.

That Narcissus spent his time on election eve at a reflecting pool is, thinking about it, not at all surprising.

We can have soma or heavy sodium (see The Thanatos Syndrome) at the genetic level. A docile people by design - what could go wrong?

An outstanding choice! Congrats, Eric!
WOW! A great hire for the pro-life movement and another huge win for my friends at @sbaprolife! Erik Baptist is an absolute hero. He brings brains, talent, and a passion for defending unborn children and their mothers. Congrats, Erik and SBA!

Agree at most levels, but taking two-plus years to review whether women should be assured of medical exams prior to getting abortion drugs is abject surrender not prudent incrementalism. The current Administration has sown mistrust and defeatism even for prudence.
We pro-lifers need to build public sentiment for our cause and pursue a policy of prudent incrementalism. We need to make it attractive for politicians to campaign on our issues. Until we do, we shouldn't be surprised when politicians pursue a different path to victory.

I am glad the ninth circuit got it right but it’s disturbing when the president the vice president and the GOP platform of 2024 all misstate what the Dobbs ruling said about states and Congress. So yes, I trust less.

I'm a pro-life voter, and this doesn't bother me much. Voting GOP in natl elections got judges that overturned Roe. Now it's a state issue. In Michigan, only 37% are pro-life. I wish Rogers were consistently pro-life, but now, it's less impt in a Senatorial campaign.
Democrats won’t believe you and pro-life Republicans will abandon you. Who is this strategy for?

The @FDA 2021 analysis of abortion drug safety showed differential treatment of external stakeholder input, reflecting possible bias towards pro-abortion groups. Federal drug safety decisions should be based on comprehensive, impartial research. More: lozierinstitute.org/peer-rev… #mifepristone #abortiondrugs #FDA

Many pro-lifers let pass the 2024 Trump platform pivot toward seeing the right to life as a state matter. After two years of paying a price for this denationalization, the great negatives of doing so have become clear. So too has the electoral weakness of the new pro-choice GOP.

If she were a liberal feminist, she would be a cultural heroine, a standard of excellence. I suspect she’s content being a pretty cool person.
Notre Dame is where Justice Amy Coney Barrett ’97 J.D. earned her law degree, discovered her calling to teach, and built a community that continues to sustain her. As the first Notre Dame graduate to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court, she saw answering that call as an opportunity to serve. In the 2026 Notre Dame Lawyer magazine, she shares a personal look at her journey to the U.S. Supreme Court, her commitment to mentoring future lawyers, and why Notre Dame still feels like home. During medical emergencies in the final trimester, a pregnancy can be ended via labor induction or c-section with the goal of saving both mother and child—rather than by late-term abortion. Intentionally and directly ending an unborn child’s life is never medically necessary. More: lozierinstitute.org/fact-she… #latetermabortion

Pretty sure I’m in early labor, but I wasn’t about to miss voting in Virginia. Two older women tried to hand me a Democrat sample ballot and asked if I knew about the constitutional amendments. Ladies, I’m 9 months pregnant. You picked the WRONG woman. I told them I knew exactly what was on the ballot and that I was disgusted, absolutely disgusted. Every baby has value. Every baby deserves the right to life. And I’ll fight for their lives just as fiercely as I’d fight for my own. So I waddled into that voting booth, contractions and all, and voted NO on Amendment 1. Abortion should NEVER be a constitutional right.

When this becomes normative we are a nation bereft.
AWFUL: Charges have been dropped against Syesiha Johnson for leaving her 31-week-old baby in the toilet. Johnson found out she was pregnant at 20 weeks and ordered the abortion pill. It apparently didn't kill the baby because she gave birth at 31 weeks and left her baby in the toilet. Durhan, North Carolina district attorney Satana Deberry is an abortion activist. She dropped the charges and nothing will happen to Johnson. She said, “I’ve been on the record, over and over again, saying that I believe a woman has the right to choose and has the right to make decisions about her own body. And we will review the evidence in this case in that light.” This little baby is NOT a woman's body. He is she is a human being whose life matters.
