When paired with our core manifesto commitments—such as major infrastructure improvements in security, electricity, and the road network, alongside structural reforms to boost market competitiveness—we can reasonably project a dramatic drop in staple commodity prices:

• Imported Rice (50kg bag): ₦55,000 → ₦27,500
• Yam (Medium tuber): ₦2,400 → ₦1,200
• Maize (50kg bag): ₦75,000 → ₦37,500
• Plantain (Bunch): ₦2,500 → ₦1,250
• Whole Chicken: ₦7,000 → ₦3,500
• Eggs (Dozen): ₦2,300 → ₦1,150
• Garri (Painter): ₦1,300 → ₦650
• Petrol (Per litre): ₦1,350/$1 → ₦500/$1

In a political landscape long dominated by men who have grown slower, more insulated, and increasingly disconnected from everyday Nigerians, Peter Obi stands out with a kind of energy that feels almost disruptive.
His recent Town Hall engagement in Lokoja was a clear demonstration of what leadership looks like when it is powered by clarity, agility, and genuine connection.
At 65, Peter Obi moves with the urgency and sharpness of someone who understands that Nigeria’s challenges cannot be solved by leaders who are physically present but mentally distant.
His pace, his mobility across the country, and his willingness to sit with citizens directly reflect a leader whose age aligns with capacity, not fatigue.
I think everyone agrees this is a stark contrast to the older generation of politicians; whose leadership style has sadly become defined by distance, ceremony, and a reliance on political machinery of proxies, spokesmen, and choreographed appearances, rather than personal engagement.

Watch over me and my loved ones today. Protect us from danger, guide our decisions, and give us peace. Help me guard my heart against bitterness, jealousy, and unnecessary worry. Let my conduct reflect Christ’s character, and keep me faithful even when circumstances don’t go as planned.
