What's so annoying about this is that it's a reminder of how for some, not all, centrist Democrats, politics is just a game. Actual people or principles don't matter. It's all just posturing and positioning. This woman claims to be a Democrat but the people Democrats care about - minorities, the poor, women - will all suffer under a GOP Senate. The Supreme Court, which has harmed so many people, will get another GOP justice under a GOP Senate.
Rogers's racism, bigotry, election denial, opposition to abortion rights or universal healthcare, none of it matters to her.

If you are somebody who believes that we should stand up to hate, and you have watched this last campaign, I think we probably would not want to support Mike Rogers and Donald Trump and JD Vance. If you're somebody who believes that we need more health care, not less than you probably don't want to vote for the guy who voted to raise prescription drug prices or keep them high 19 times and takes money from big pharma and big insurance. If you're somebody who believes in public education, you probably do not want to support the guy who architected the initial legislation in 1999 that ended up stripping local control from Detroit public schools and the local community. If you're somebody who believes that you should have a right to a union, you probably don't want to support the guy who busts unions. So I'm just saying that the principles that we believe in as Democrats are really quite clear. I stand for all of them.

The incessant media meme of divided Democrats betrays a fundamental ignorance of politics. Do voters want a party where officials meekly fall in line behind a corrupt and incompetent leader even though they know it violates their own principles? Or do voters want a party where officials are independent and have their own ideas all under the overarching theme of doing what's right for America in a competent and non-corrupt way? Our federal system is designed to have officials reflect local principles—there's no reason a Congressperson in Ohio should have the same agenda as one in South Carolina or California. They need to reflect the views of their own voters, not Dear Leader. That's called democracy.

Ukrainian defense manufacturer Fire Point confirmed the strike that day.

Americans in Saudi Arabia that are able, it is time to go. The powder keg is surrounded by fire and once it really pops off, neither the KSA nor US governments will be in a position to help you.
You will be targets and you should operate under the assumption that Ansarallah knows where there are congregations of westerners in country.
I would highly recommend avoiding any airport in KSA, per the State Department's warning today. If you're in Riyadh or Dammam, drive or bus to Manama or Doha or Abu Dhabi. If you're in Jeddah or Madinah, well, that sucks and risking a flight out may be worth a shot over car or bus to Riyadh and then onto Manama or Doha.
MIDDLE EAST ANALYSIS: It has become very clear in recent days that the United States and Saudi Arabia are completely and totally screwed in their respective wars.
Iran is striking vessel after vessel on the daily. They're expanding their hits deep into the Gulf of Oman and Persian Gulf. Just today alone, three UKMTO reports have been filed, with a fourth vessel still yet unreported.
Saudi Arabia is getting destroyed by Ansar Allah (Houthis). Riyadh has been struck three days in a row now, with the King Khalid Airport struck twice, forcing a total shutdown. Dammam Airport has been hit, Jeddah is in a holding pattern, Abha has been hit... And Aramco facilities are being destroyed at will.
It is irrefutable at this point that further escalation from the United States and Saudi Arabia in their respective wars will not lead to victory...
Only devastating destruction in the global economy.
