I still love you,
But not the same way,
As I used to.
Love then was claiming you,
Now it is letting you go.
Is it love,
or merely an #illusion
I keep chasing in its name?
I wonder, I question,
I unravel every possibility,
trying to reason with my heart.
And then I see youโ
and all my questions dissolve,
my doubts surrender,
my perplexity falls silent.
Perhaps love isn't always
something the mind can explain.
I knowโ
this isn't a fallacy,
but a love
I cannot imagine living without.

A lone #wolf stands tall
Beneath storms, it guards its light
Dawn answers its call
Wild hearts never kneel
Even broken wings can rise
Hope outlives the night
Let our courage bloom
Until death remembers us
Love will leave its mark

The #Wolf
She reads him
Through his fierce eyes,
Through his protective shield,
Through the heartbeat
That beats for her.
She is in love with a Wolf,
A risk she has taken upon herself.
She knows he could devour her
Anytime his hunger strikes
And his prey is within reach.
But still, she chooses him.
The Wolf.
Because with him,
She doesn't have to be afraid
Of her own wildness.
With him,
She can become a Wolf too.

She tries to intuit
which category of rain he is:
the kind that lingers in the air
like clenched fingers
which never unfurl,
the kind that plucks strings
at her window,
violins within sacred drops,
learning the art of her desire,
or the rampaging storm
unleashing the #wolves
of her flesh,
so she knows whether to hide
behind shuttered windows
or to dance, untamed,
under his downpour.

the maple tree
lets go of its leaves
the pond returns
the face I have now
among the names
I find the ones
I still say aloud
angels keep
their stone hands joined
November drizzle
gathers in their wings
beyond the wall
#wolves lift their voices
the living
calling to the living

He was never afraid of the wolf inside him.
He was afraid of the woman who might look into its eyes and refuse to run.
She never asked him to silence his hunger or disguise his darkness.
She simply touched the place beneath his scars where the beast had forgotten how to trust.
With her, his fangs softened, but his instincts grew deeper.
And that terrified him.
Because a #wolf knows how to survive the wilderness.
But nobody teaches him how to survive the thought of losing the one woman before whom he no longer needs to bare his teeth.

adding @chandanas - Another poet that I enjoy a lot.. Some of the other names, Priya had already included in her list..
Also would highlight @iamwitwicky. I quite enjoy his words as well.

The best ones for the last!
It would be unfair of me
not name few of the names from the writing community of #vss365 who always outshine, whose works are beyond words to explain in few words.

Hey, Hey Pari,
this is such an honour, love that is beyond words and a pat on my shoulder that cannot be expressed in few words. You have got my heart, made my day.
To be frankly speaking I have many poets friends here on X whose work I admire totally..To name a few will be injustice to many I know, but still I will add a few. And all others whose names are not named have definitely are in my heart. โฅ๏ธ

Also to be noted that some of the poets here are already legendary, So naming them here is just my honour to them.
I loved you a little more today,
I missed you a little more today,
Why are you there where I
cannot reach you,
Why are you so distant?
Come hold me,
One more time. Just one more time..

Linger awhile after the end,
Savoring each breath we take,
Let us share this exhilarating moment,
as we slowly absorb the essence of our passion.
As the sweaty pearls trickle down,
our faces drenched in a diamond rainfall,
Our eyes exude the calm after the storm,
and our bodies glisten in the reflection of moonlight.
The world pauses for a moment,
to let out the breath it has been holding,
The universe seemed to want this,
as much as we both wanted it.
The streaks of dawn sneak under the blanket,
peeking out from behind the clouds,
As the world wakes up to the glowing sun,
we close our eyes to our world's night.

I know what makes desire dangerous: two people trying to walk away while something inside them keeps reaching back. Even silence cannot convince the body that the story is over.

Tearing the heart,
Chewing every inch of flesh.
Neither blood seeps
Nor soul leaves.

As they say,
Time heals
To me
Time reveals,
Reveals what we can take,
Ans for how long.
I still find your absence,
Loud enough in my presence.
But,
I belive one day.
I won't be here to explain,
How I miss you and what next to say.

โWhat are you waiting for?โโจโNothing. Just a little lost.โโจโWhy?โโจโI believed in love. Love did not believe in me.โโจโThat's confusing.โโจโI thought love was direct, emotional, beautiful.โจI thought it was music, soul, spirit.โจToday it left meโจa lone #wolf,โจempty hands,โจhollow heart.โ

You speak of a worldview,
but what you offer
is merely a fragmented opinion.
I speak of love,
of what it means to me,
of how I feel it,
how I see it.
We arenโt the same.

Ember Rose
Beneath the ash
of a thousand vanished flames,
something red
was still breathing.
Not the fire
that devours,
but the one
that glows
beneath the skin
of night.
And there,
among the thorns,
a rose
opened its dark heart.
Its petals held
the last warmth
of forgotten fires,
their velvet edges
brushed by shadows
that gathered
at the foot
of midnight.
A fragrance rose
through the stillness,
dark and heady,
like a secret
the night
had kept
for centuries.
No light
had summoned it.
No hand
had coaxed it open.
It bloomed
with fire
still sleeping
in its heart,
and the darkness
leaned closer.
