They have spent the whole day insulting, slandering, tarnishing, and dehumanising a young woman of 20 who was not even the pilot controlling the plane.
BREAKING:
Jeff Gregory, a 55-year-old pilot from Pennsylvania, has been identified as the pilot of the LearJet 60 that crashed yesterday in Palm Beach County, Florida.
Jeff had 2 decades of flying experience, according to those familiar with him.
His family are devout Christians and active in their local church.
He leaves behind a beautiful wife and several wonderful children.
Please pray for his family and friends.

As a former Marine and police officer, I’ve seen people freeze or fall apart under pressure. I listened to 20-year-old Nathalia Gadelha on Learjet N722BD as it dove at over 20,000 feet per minute in an overspeed. She never stopped transmitting clear, critical information even though she had to know she was going to die. That young co-pilot stayed on the radio to the end. Most people twice her age wouldn’t have.

She was falling 27,000 feet in a minute in an iced-up jet. In about 35 seconds she declared a mayday, gave her tail number, descent rate, overspeed and a 60-degree bank. That's the job. Then she died with eight other people, and you're grading her tone. Fuck you.
A pilot should not:

🔘say, "We're going to crash into the ground!"

A pilot needs a certain disposition. This is not it. That's the reality.

Having a front row seat to your own demise is an emotionally distressing experience and pilots have been known to scream in such situations.

For the past two years, Sunita has served Vancouver-Langara as MLA, and she has done it with real heart. I got to know her through my work in the Jewish community, and what began as a working relationship grew into a genuine friendship.
Sunita is one of the warmest, most caring people I know in public life. She works incredibly hard, and she has a rare gift for connecting with people, whoever they are and wherever they come from. I'll never forget her coming straight from Victoria to our CLEAR Alzheimer's dinner to speak to the families we support. It meant a great deal to me.
We ran against each other this fall, but that never changed how I feel about her. Thank you for your service to this community and for your friendship. Vancouver-Langara is better for the work you've done.

On September 21, you were telling us about your 75 million views a month. The voters were yours. Yours, not anybody else’s. You even put it in capital letters, just so we’d understand how important you were.
