Can’t we just call it out? ‘Crypto billionaires’? Isn’t that just people who convinced other people that their pretend money was real money?

Because they are reporting on court appearances.
Why does the media habitually call Tommy Robinson "Stephen Yaxley Lennon" but never Zack Polanski "David Paulden'?

I love the way Tory MPs are frustrated by the PM’s version of populism. They’ve lived in hate-fueled jeopardy for so long, they’ve forgotten that people get upset about the small stuff too. I hear ‘soft’ Reform supporters speaking favorably of Andy Burnham.
Is this for real? Is he the Prime Minister or the councillor in charge of car parks?

I see the Conservatives are taking the same approach to appointments as Donald Trump: find someone who obviously despises the thing they have been set up to run and who will rejoice in dismantling it. Just wow, @KemiBadenoch
We will cut the arts & culture budget by £1bn in order to fund 50,000 prison places. Keeping rapists and other dangerous offenders locked up is a priority for the @Conservatives. We will always put community safety first. @RichmoMusic If you need help understanding the numbers, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Always happy to talk you through. thetimes.com/article/77bcee1…

I hope that my music and church contacts here might help spread the word about this new role in a transformative project we are launching here in Dorset. Thanks!

What does @MCA_media think about @BrittanyFerries poor customer handling? They terminate a service, don't contact customers with bookings, then try to sell more services on the same (cancelled) crossing!
Booked @BrittanyFerries crossings on 21 Sept, Poole-Cherbourg 26-29 Oct £300+. On 30th Sept was announced that route would end for good 12 Oct. No comms via email or online acct. No refund yet. Today email invited me to buy extras for the crossing that isn’t going to happen! 1/2

What’s going on, @BrittanyFerries? You took my money for a service about to end, I have to chase a refund and now you want to entice me to give you more money for services you know you can’t provide. Poor, verging on scam-like!

And finally, Cyril…and finally, Esther I met her, professionally, 30+years later. As often, with childhood giants, she seemed smaller, and opinionated, and (subjectively) wrong… But…and finally, Cyril…and finally, Esther. Another piece of my childhood has slipped away.

Dear @FIFAcom - When you're too corrupt for Nigel Farage, you've got problems

Is it in order for @BBCNews to call any candidate a ‘joke’ candidate? What Count Binface is doing is far from a joke, despite the persona. Who gets to decide which candidates are ‘jokes’? Bad form from the BBC! bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ckge…

Cheering for @Edwina_Currie has NEVER been on my political bingo card. Strange times. Well said, though!
You don't get it James Marriott, do you? Voting for Count Binface isn't a joke. It's totally serious. It's about putting destroying Nigel Farage and destabilising the party he set up funded by his dodgy friends. thetimes.com/comment/columni…

This Clacton Circus is an absolute gift for Andy Burnham. All scrutiny has suddenly dissipated. Gets extra space to put his team and 100 day strategy together. Then stands on the steps of No.10 looking Prime Ministerial, whilst Nigel Farage is wandering around arguing with a bin.

Why not, since posh-City-boy grifter Farage is doing just that?
This might just be me being a grump but something feels wrong about an Oxford grad living in London making a joke out of primarily working class areas' democracy like this Places like Makerfield and Clacton shouldn't have to deal with someone treating their elections like a joke

Count Binface becoming an MP really would be the most surreal possible ending to the story of Reform UK.

So, Farage will presumably have to show his face in Clacton occasionally over the next few weeks. May I suggest the question to follow him around with should be: ‘Now we know you have £5m for security, will you start holding constituency surgeries?’

Whatever Farage is announcing at 2pm, I bet it won't be that he plans to spend more time working for the constituents who elected him.

I for one hope he stays a bit longer, and presides over the continuing erosion of Reform’s poll lead, until his colleagues stage a messy coup, and the Populist Right completes the process of eating itself.
I will make a statement on my future in public life at 2pm.
