🚨UPDATE 🚨Wanda the pregnant dog struck by a vehicle in the middle of the night, is alive, but is not out of the woods. She's currently in ICU on oxygen and fluids.
As soon as I got the call, I drove out there. The person that called me was no longer there, so it took me a few minutes to find her on the side of the road, but when I did, I nearly fainted.
Her eye was literally hanging out of her head. It was one of the most gruesome things I have ever seen.
Yet she was still trying to give me kisses.
When I picked her up. I held her in my arms till we got to the vet. I cried and held her, trying to pet her anywhere she wasn't hurt and telling her she's a good girl and she's loved. I was praying she would make it, as blood was pouring out of her face and nose.
When we got to the vets and they started examining her, that's when I realized how bad she actually was and how heavily pregnant she is.
There is no microchip. And no one has come forward based on her description, giving to local animal control.
She is underweight, covered in ticks, and looks like she has been on her own for several weeks.
We are praying that she can make it through; the vet told me it really is 50/50. We were hoping that she would be stable enough this morning for an ultrasound to check on the pups, but she's not. She does have some miscolored drainage this morning from her vulva.
So that has brought up several concerns as well. The vets are working with us and giving a rescue discount as much as possible, but so far our vet bill this morning was $1800. Please, if you're able to help us in anyway, we would be greatly appreciated. 🐾♥️
If you donate, please put "Wanda"

The last few weeks have been rough. We had several emergencies costing more than six grand in just veterinary bills. We've struggled with paying for training, And even just supplies such as dog food or flea and tick and heartworm medications.
But right now our biggest concerns are Pito a dog we pulled from @NYCACC
who needs to have surgery on BOTH of his back legs. Pito currently uses a double back leg brace. But after the surgery we'll more than likely need a wheelchair for him to heal.
Another dog that we pulled several months ago Grover, is having heart issues and has been at the emergency vets since yesterday. Where they had to drain fluid buildup.
We also have 4 infant kittens days to maybe a week old that we rescued with red ants crawling all over them.
PLEASE, if you can donate even $1 it will be greatly appreciated.
I couldn't help the animals we do without the help of donations. Thank you! 💗🐾🐶😿

PUPPIES DUMPED. Kleberg County, Texas. Right near Corpus Christi. Take a look at these precious puppies. All five of them alive and well. But if it hadn't been for one animal advocate, this story could have turned tragic. Their so-called dog dad allegedly dumped them in a very rural beach area on North Padre Island, an area full of coyotes, salt water, and dunes. But then the suspect got the shock of a lifetime. A person reportedly caught him in the act and then, with the phone recording, took this video of him driving away from the scene of the crime. Animal advocates tell me this is the guy—38-year-old Brent McCaleb of North Padre Island, Corpus Christi, Texas. They tell me he had this sign out—at first—trying to sell the puppies. But apparently, that didn't work. Other advocates say he's tried to sell puppies before.
I left a message with McCaleb wanting to hear what he had to say for himself. I also spoke with the director at Nueces County Animal Control, and she tells me they are working together with Kleberg investigators. One more thing they have to take into account: the beach may be in Kleberg County, but it’s owned by Nueces County, so they’ll be in the picture as well. I also reached out to Judge Rudy Madrid—left a message—also spoke with Sheriff Kirkpatrick, who told me the investigation is in its beginning stages. And by the way, most importantly, all the puppies now have forever homes. As far as McCaleb, he *could face animal cruelty charges. I’ll be staying on top of this investigation. #dogs #puppies #dumped #animalcruelty #animalawareness #animaladvocate #animals #corpuschristi #northpadreisland #Texas

How much experience does one need to essentially run an animal Shelter?
In Columbus, Georgia at the local animal "care" and control, the division manager has ZERO experience (from her job application) and the list goes on.
If the past is indicative of the present, had it not been for Columbus Animal Allies uncovering the surveillance video from the shelter and nationwide outrage, many believe animal advocates' voices would have fallen on deaf ears by the City Council and Mayor Skip Henderson

A plea for help along with a reward of $7,600. Here's why. A 7-year-old German Shepherd named Argon was left to die in a remote location with zip ties around his mouth so he couldn't even pant - and - around his neck. And the heat? Unbearable. Dumped there over the Fourth of July weekend.
That remote area he was dumped in is near Malibu Creek Canyon in California. Good Samaritans/hikers discovered him before dusk on July 3rd. They called 9-1-1, took the zip tie off his mouth, and freed and fed him.
He's reportedly been taken to the Agoura Hills Animal Shelter in Agoura, California and here's where it gets worse. At last check, he's had some tests for suspected lymphoma. If he gets better, we're told he might be able to go to his forever home.
@IDAUSA - that's the group spearheading this - is an international animal protection organization with a 40-year history of defending animals, people, and the environment. If you have any information, you are urged to call them at 415-879-6879 or email [email protected]. Also, the number for the Agoura Hills Animal Shelter is 818-991-0071.

Myrtle from @NYCACC x-rays show that the left femur has a displaced mid-diaphyseal fracture.
Based on the radiographs it's suspected that this fracture is at least several weeks old to possibly months old, and she needs orthopedic surgery. This is going to be very costly... If you're able to help at all we would be so greatful.

7 DOGS SHOT DEAD BY OFFICER who were abandoned by humans. The deputy recommended animal cruelty charges to people who abandoned them but according to local media, there are no charges.
The Apache County Sheriff spokesperson said the deputy acted "within agency policy" so at this point, all these puppies and dogs are dead and absolutely no one is taking responsibility.
