How does one instance of an event between <10 people indicate a “systemic societal issue”? You blindly look at whatever is fed to you and feel EXACTLY what the machine wants you to feel. Egregiousness of crime aside, generalizations kill critical thinking.

It's really not one instance. It's clearly referring to a broader issue of normalization and lack of accountability. When people commit these egregious crimes and still can hold positions of power like doctors, lawyers, and politicians It just shows how systems enable behaviors.
