I just read this highly educative article written by Chinwendu Carlos addressing one miss Nkechi Bianze. The article apart from addressing Miss Nkechi, clear a lot of Miss-concepts people have about "TRIBE" and "ETHNIC GROUP" as it concerns the Igbo people. It's a long read, ...

I wish the States involved in this should look into this. A complete high-return corridors, improve ports and customs, expand rail freight, and maintain existing roads rather than only launching new projects. This rail if done will change a lot. Approximately will cost $5billion.
Replying to @TonamiPlayman
For the PHC-Enugu rail corridor, here's the construction cost estimate for the segments within each state. Enugu has the highest cost burden of $1.6 billion, while Rivers has the least at $876 million. The very low estimated cost per rider of $2.9 means it's a valuable corridor.

Most definitely, each state should create a central business district, that will be suitable for industries. all the incoming factories and industries should be directed to that particular place.
The SE states should work towards coordinated industrial development around the proposed pipeline. Identify suitable factory locations, prepare industrial land and attract investors. Gas infrastructure will create greater value when connected to productive businesses.

EBONYI STATE: SECURITY, CORRUPTION, NATIONAL UNITY AND THE DIGNITY OF EVERY NIGERIAN My grassroots sensitisation tour brought me to Ebonyi, the Salt State, today, 29th October 2026, following yesterday’s visit to Akwanga, Nasarawa State, as our nationwide Town Hall Series continues. In Ebonyi, I made a stop at Nkalagu and Ezillo to greet and acknowledge our supporters and briefly visited the market in Ezillo, where I interacted with our hardworking women who trade and bring farm produce to market. In Abakaliki, I joined our party supporters on a road walk to the venue of our town hall meeting. At the town hall, participants raised concerns about insecurity, particularly kidnapping and banditry; corruption; government borrowing; and the deteriorating condition of our hospitals, schools, and other essential amenities. The most touching contribution came from a participant representing persons living with disabilities, who spoke about the challenges they face and the apparent lack of adequate support from government and society. I assured the participants that, upon election, our foremost priorities will be to unite the country, decisively tackle insecurity and confront corruption, while pulling our people out of poverty. To our brothers and sisters living with disabilities, I reiterated that the compassion of a nation is measured by how it treats its most vulnerable citizens. We will work with state governments to ensure their inclusion, proper care and dignity. We will also invest massively in education and healthcare, including at least one fully functional primary healthcare centre in every political ward across Nigeria, while working to reduce the cost of living and expand opportunities for all. I sincerely thank the participants, our party members, the organisers and the good people of Ebonyi State for their warm reception, enthusiasm and active participation. A New Nigeria is POssible, and Nigeria will be OK! -PO

The gas pipeline should also inspire investment in industrial estates. Factories are more needed in spaces with gas connections, reliable electricity, good roads, water, security and warehouses. Industrial infrastructure attracts manufacturers and creates employment.

Businessmen importing plastics, ceramics, glass, steel products and other energy-intensive goods should start exploring joint manufacturing ventures. If gas supply materialises at competitive prices, local production will become more attractive.
The South-East is finally getting a gas pipeline. 400km, about $100 million, running from the ANOH gas plant in Imo through Owerri, Aba and Onitsha, with extensions to Enugu and Ebonyi. Construction starts in Q1 2027, and first gas is expected in Q2 2028. Around 150 factories, power plants and agro-processors are already lined up as customers. Right now, many of them truck gas in by road. But read the funding. The South East Development Commission has committed $3 million. It's targeting $30 million from the region. The rest is still moving towards financial close. Aba has never lacked hustle. It's lacked cheap energy. The pipeline is a promise. The money will tell us if it's real.

Court Orders Uzodinma to Stop Parading Himself as APC Candidate, Recognizes Former Governor Rochas Okorocha for Imo West Senatorial District Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday ordered Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma to immediately stop presenting himself as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Imo West Senatorial District election scheduled for January 16, 2027. Delivering judgment, the court held that Uzodinma did not win the May 18, 2026 APC primary election, which was conducted by the party and monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The judge said that evidence before the court showed that former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha secured the majority of votes cast and should be declared the winner. The judge subsequently ordered the APC to forward Okorocha’s name as its candidate for the 2027 general elections in the Imo West Senatorial District.

FG does not fund the project, funding is by the private sector, plus SEDC and the SE State governments, Reason why some of you guys behave this way is what I don't understand, Tomorrow now, some of you will try to campaign with "marginalisation" and people will point to this post, when in actual sense, FG did not invest anything.
NEW: FG kicks off $100m Southeast gas pipeline project ...As SEDC seals deal with GasSync, commits $3m ... Tinubu says South East must rise from potential to reality ...Mbah, governors hail Tinubu, pledge support for 400km pipeline The Federal Government, through the South East Development Commission (SEDC) has kicked off a $100 million gas distribution pipeline project to boost industrialisation, attract investments and create jobs in the South East. The 400-kilometre pipeline, designed to connect gas resources to industrial and commercial centres across Enugu, Anambra, Imo, Abia and Ebonyi states, has about 150 potential customers identified, with projected demand of 254 million standard cubic feet of gas per day. The investment agreement for the project was signed on Tuesday at the South-East Gas Infrastructure Investment and Project Development Ceremony held at Hotel Presidential, Enugu, marking a significant step towards establishing a regional gas distribution network. Tinubu, represented by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, described the project as a strategic investment that would connect the region's natural gas resources to industries, strengthen manufacturing and unlock economic opportunities across the five states. “The Southeast's entrepreneurial spirit is one of Nigeria's greatest economic assets. I have always believed that the prosperity of the Southeast is inseparable from the prosperity of Nigeria,” the President said. He said the project aligned with his administration's commitment to building an integrated regional economy, stressing that gas infrastructure should support industrial development across state boundaries rather than serve isolated markets. “Gas infrastructure must therefore serve industries and markets, not stop at political boundaries. That is the economic logic of regional integration,” he said. The President said the pipeline would benefit manufacturers in Aba, strengthen industrial clusters in Nnewi and Onitsha, attract productive enterprises to Enugu, expand agro-processing and manufacturing in Ebonyi and connect Imo's gas resources to the wider regional economy. He, however, said the ambition extended beyond supplying existing factories to creating the conditions for new industries, industrial parks and investments that had stalled because of unreliable energy supply. “Our ambition is not simply to deliver gas to existing factories. It is to make possible factories that do not yet exist, industrial parks yet to be developed, and investments that have remained on the drawing board because reliable energy was unavailable,” Tinubu said. He described the South-East Development Commission (SEDC) as an institution established to deliver measurable development outcomes, urging it to assess its performance by the investments it mobilised, infrastructure it enabled, opportunities it created and lives it improved. The President said the South-East Vision 2050 development framework, supported by Vice-President Kashim Shettima and the governors of the region, provided a foundation for coordinated economic growth. He also cited his approval of the South-East Investment Company as part of efforts to attract private capital into strategic development projects, noting that governments could not finance every development ambition from public funds. “This is the model I expect from our development institutions: identify strategic economic opportunities, prepare credible projects, commit public resources responsibly and mobilise private capital at a scale government budgets alone cannot achieve,” he said. Tinubu commended the SEDC for committing $3 million to the gas project and establishing a framework to mobilise additional investments from state governments, institutions and private investors. He said the project's initial phase required approximately $100 million, describing the partnership between public institutions and private investors as
