We’ve trained Claude to flag potential misuse in conversations, a technique we call self-assessment. Right after it responds, Claude gives a preliminary safety assessment of the conversation.
Since we began using self-assessment in June, it has surfaced misuse that our other safeguards weren’t designed to catch.
Because Claude has already read the conversation, self-assessment is very efficient. And unlike classifiers, which target a discrete set of harms, it draws on Claude’s own judgment, so it gets more accurate as our models improve.

Ironically, UBS Mobile Banking app doesn’t work on Graphene even with compatibility mode on, while UBS Access App (through which the actual authentication happens) does work. Bankers are dumb.

Is this a honeypot, or is it just a way of winning over GOS users?
It's hard to trust a banking company if I can't access my bank through a browser and inspect things myself.
If banks really want to accommodate privacy-focused users, their web app experience and stronger authentication options is what they should focus on.

That could be a move in a good direction.
GrapheneOS is meant to be a daily-driver OS, so for users who aren't as technical, this will definitely be helpful.
But compatibility isn't the same thing as privacy.
Don't just assume it's purely out of goodwill with no other motives.
Where are the hardware security keys and hardware tokens?
The truth is, if you want to stay private, you ought to use cash, Monero, or similar options 99% of time.
One of the reasons a company like Mullvad privacy-policy is trustworthy is that it allows cash and Monero payments for its VPN.
And that's why governments want to restrict cash flow as much as possible - THEY want as much data on you as possible.
This situation might be a small win for privacy, but remember: in the end, you are responsible for your own security, and no one - not even GrapheneOS will do all the hardening for you.

Der ukrainische Präsident Wolodymyr Selenskyj hat eine klare Botschaft an Europa gerichtet: Sollten europäische Staaten die Sanktionen gegen Russland aufheben oder ihre Energiepartnerschaften mit Moskau wiederherstellen, werde die Ukraine darauf reagieren.
In einem Interview erklärte Selenskyj, er sehe derzeit keine entsprechenden Forderungen aus den großen europäischen Volkswirtschaften. „Ich sehe das nicht, denn wir würden reagieren. Ich würde definitiv reagieren“, sagte er laut dem von Mario Nawfal veröffentlichten Video.
Die Aussage unterstreicht, wie sensibel Kiew auf jede mögliche Lockerung des wirtschaftlichen Drucks auf Russland reagiert. Für die Ukraine sind die Sanktionen ein wichtiges Instrument, um Moskaus finanzielle und industrielle Spielräume im Krieg einzuschränken. Eine Lockerung könnte deshalb neue Spannungen zwischen Kiew und einzelnen europäischen Partnern auslösen.
Gleichzeitig bleibt entscheidend, welche konkreten Maßnahmen Selenskyj mit einer „Reaktion“ meint. Dazu enthält die vorliegende Berichterstattung keine näheren Angaben.

And the question is, can military Keynesianism replace the fantastic transfer of wealth in the 17th, 18th, and 19th century into the 20th? And my answer is no. There is no way that that domestic program can do for England or for Europe, all the colonial powers, what they lost.
The only way to do that, ironically, would be for European countries to understand the need to reorient themselves to the rest of the world, and there’s only one country in Europe that has done that, and that’s Russia.’
