The cinematic language in Marion and Indy's first scene is just *impeccable.* At first he's looming over her, and she's taken off guard, perhaps momentarily intimidated. But she regroups and walks forward in frame, gaining confidence with each step, until she's bigger than he is.

Screen X is a genuinely terrible gimmick. Ruinous to the moviegoing experience. The only way I can imagine it being even a tiny bit good is *maybe* a jump to lightspeed moment in a Star War? Maybe? It's very distracting and adds nothing of value.
