Launching Junction: come speed-run the semiconductor tech tree this December in Bangalore.
We’re flying in students from all over India 🇮🇳 to a 2-week fabrication retreat at @_lagrangepoint to build equipment, design chips and engineer processes, with our friends at @hackerfabindia.
India still needs thousands of semicon engineers -- the ecosystem to produce them isn’t mature enough yet -- we're changing that.
Current applicants have built vacuum chambers to study plasma physics, RISC-V processors from scratch, scanning tunneling microscopes, et cetera
At junction you will:
1. Propose a project
2. Figure out a plan with the Junction team.
3. Iterate fast towards a working prototype, with help from the Junction team
4. Be mentored by top semiconductor hackers and specialists.
5. Demo to industry leaders, founders, investors, and your fellow craftspeople
Flights, accommodation and project expenses? All covered. Apply on the link below

I think we hold ourselves back from pursuing things we love or things that excite us because we’re afraid of being beginners.
As kids, we did things simply because they were fun. We didn’t care if we were good at them, if we failed, or what people thought of us. Somewhere along the way, we started wanting to be good at everything.
I wonder how many things we’ve missed out on because we were too worried about not being good at them.
So take this as a cue to go do that thing you’ve always wanted to try but kept putting off. You don’t have to be good at it. You just have to want to do it.

Been building something for my Mac. It’s called Lumen.
Select anything on your Mac, tap with three fingers, and it handles it right where you are. No copy-pasting, no switching apps.
Here’s a first look. More soon.

we’ve been ideating on how we can explore and learn more about traditional Indian dyes - We are starting with Indigo.
come learn about indigo, some hands on block printing fun and some hot takes on what’s happening with indigo now.
17th Oct, blr
register quick!
thinking of hosting a nerdy evening in bangalore around a dye and textile.
hint: it's also a crop. farmers revolted over it, an empire got rich off it, and a lab in germany killed the trade.
you'll be in pairs, going down a rabbit hole together and debating your findings over food.
would you be game?
life happens and sometimes your inbox spirals beyond control. I promise I'm not ghosting anyone, just drowning in texts across the board 😭🙏
will clear it all today 🫡
ALL CAUGHT UP 🥂
@beeper i love you, but your UI has progressively been getting worse these past couple of years. why we don't have a solid, high-performance native app instead of this garbage remains a mystery to me.
please either build one, or hire me ffs 🙏

Most people may not know this, but Aeos helped ElevenLabs with their Kannada implementation. A couple of years ago we were working with a large cricket team (still an Aeos client) on dubbing and Kannada wasn’t an option. We spent a lot of time helping figure it out. The ElevenLabs team was super fast at making it all work (they were a much smaller co back then btw) and now many across the country can access Kannada dubbing!
