When a train in the UK arrives on time, a cackling, twirly-moustached man ties the driver to the tracks until they promise to never do that again.

It's a complete mystery how this has happened
British workers have become more disengaged from their jobs in the past decade, according to data that also shows job satisfaction has plunged to its lowest level in the surveyโ€™s 35-year history ft.trib.al/EPjMBj3

Deadbeat final boss.
Karl Bushby has arrived home in Hull after walking 30,000 miles over the last 28 years. He set off from southern Chile in 1998, aged 28, promising to walk all the way home. Sky's @ShingiMararike caught up with Karl as he headed home to see his mum trib.al/KLEvD1M

Like many landlords across our UK, our son has put his 5 beautiful buy-to-let properties up for sale, leaving 5 Cheshire families looking for social housing that just doesn't exist. So, @AngelaRayner's & @JohnHealey_MP 's stupid attack on private landlords will mean higher rents.

This user has posted nearly identical claims about his son selling 5 Cheshire buy-to-let properties due to policies since at least 2024. Buy-to-let homes are private rentals, not social housing. x.com/David_J_Bond/sโ€ฆ x.com/David_J_Bond/sโ€ฆ x.com/David_J_Bond/sโ€ฆ x.com/David_J_Bond/sโ€ฆ

It is interesting to me that most humor involving presidents involve jokes about the president as a person, but most jokes about Obama arenโ€™t about Obama at all. He is just phenomenologically funny, his presence is funnier than he is made out to be

Slavery was abhorrent. Fact. But to issue a formal apology today is dangerous virtue-signalling that could expose Britain to reparations costing us millions or even billions of pounds. This is very much how the Chagos disaster started under the Tories. There is no good reason why people living in 21st Britain should pay for the wrongdoings of centuries ago. And letโ€™s also not forget the role that Britain played in ending slavery- often overlooked in our schools, museums and by the BBC. And then there are the clear benefits of the British Empire. Investment, infrastructure, legal systems, education, healthcare- there was also much that was good. I write a lot about this in my best-selling book, โ€˜Patriot: Empire, betrayal and hopeโ€™. Letโ€™s teach history in a balanced and truthful way; not through the lens of political ideology. And Burnham should stand up for 21st century Brits, not pay for the wrongs of 18th century slave-traders.
